Rakuten: 20% Back in Points, Today Only

This hot deal from Rakuten is back today (while quantities last). On any purchase, you get 20% back in Rakuten points towards a future purchase. As Adorama, Beach Camera, Focus Camera and BuyDig all have storefronts on the Rakuten platform, you can take advantage of this deal on Canon cameras or lenses from authorized Canon USA dealers.

An equivalent warranty applies when purchasing via the Rakuten platform (vs. purchasing direct). Rakuten points can be spent like cash anywhere on their platform.

Some great options:

Sweet, thanks for the notification. Had $400 in points to use. You get full 20% back even if partially using rakuten points apparently.

They cancelled my order twice saying my payment info is not verified. I used Paypal and they charged and then refunded. No idea why my info is not verified…

      Which store?

Focus Camera. But I received the cancellation email from Rakuten, not from the seller. Here’s what the email says:
“Unfortunately, your order has been canceled automatically because your payment information cannot be verified.
Please validate your payment information to avoid this error on future orders.
        Thank you for your understanding.”
I tried again, and the order was cancelled again.

One of my orders went through (Focus Camera, actually), but it was only for a small item resulting in a sub-$60 cash back.

My larger order to another supplier would have yielded $500+ cash back, which is way above the BF60 cash back or the $100 eBay limit. That one got canceled.

The uncapped nature of the promotion seemed too good to be true. I suspect the promotion was made in error or some internal limit was reached.
