Flashpoint is Adorama’s rebranded Godox flash. This is the same flash I use, it’s pretty good. The rechargeable li-on battery keeps up pretty well in high speed sync mode. For the price I prefer it over my 430 EX II that I used to use (higher power output, faster cycle time). It even has a built in receiver for wireless shooting, but you will need a transmitter.

Amazon prime (also ships from Adorama) has same price and no sales tax to my state. Better deal because of prime rewards card.

I shot an entire wedding yesterday with 2 of these. They didn’t even dip to 50% power. This is a great deal. If you use the godox r2 wireless system this is a no brainer.

I’m sure they’re nice but the regular ones that just use A batteries are $110. Might be worth it if the lithium batter produces much faster cycle times.

I don’t have one to compare with, but I did do a test against my 430 EX II last year when I got the Flashpoints, and the cycle time is significantly faster with the li-on (like, no contest), especially in high speed sync mode. Compared to the normal price of 179 the non-li-on version is not a bad deal for someone just looking to get a TTL flash, maybe for the first time even, but for 15 dollars more you get a rechargeable li-on battery. The cost of a pack of batteries isn’t much less than that, and you will need to keep buying those. Even if you get rechargeables, I would still rather have the li-on battery. But to each their own. There might be other differences too, I don’t see any but again I don’t have one to compare with.

Doesn’t matter now since the deal is over, but I would put money on it that it will be back by christmas. Probably black friday or cyber monday, this is a common deal. Might be a little more though, like 130 instead of 125, still a good deal compared to what you get. Also, to anyone that might have missed this, if you call them and ask they will probably still honor this price today. They are cool like that sometimes.
