The Canon Direct Store kicked off a refurbished sale, with additional discounts on selected cameras and lenses. The most notable item is the refurbished EOS 6D Mark II for $1099.20, although when you factor in the sales tax, the bundle deals at $1249/$1299 with free grip are better. We’re still hoping for a good %-off sale later in the week.
- EOS 6D Mark II is now $1099.20
- EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM is now $779.20
- EF 17-40mm f/4L USM is now $529.99
- EF 85mm f/1.8 USM is now $239.99
- EF 50mm f/1.4 USM is now $219.99
- EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Pancake is now $99.99
- EF 50mm f/1.8 STM is now $89.79
I agree with cpw, the best refurb deals are yet to come. Las year they had some incredible bundles in the refurb store, and a couple of deals we really haven’t seen again, like a 5d4 for 2200 (sold out faster than I could enter payment info). I know I got a second 80D with 10-18mm, 18-135mm usm, and 70-300mm is ii for 1100 after tax. That was one of the best deals I’ve ever seen on any camera. Best part is the 10-18mm and 70-300mm came in full retail boxes! I would say it’s worth the wait.
Kevin’s giving good advice (as always) last year decided to get back into photography, started about 1970 with SLR cameras.
After a lot research at this time last year decided the new 77D was for me with the 7i close behind.
Refurb 7i went on sale and bought that but didn’t even open the box, had till January to return. Later the refurbished 77D went on sale, bought that , Canon even paid the return shipping charges on the 7i.
The 77D looked new, not a camera that has been handled by hundreds of ”Lookie Louie’s”. I really believe refurbished is the best way to purchase a camera at least for an amateur as myself.
Kevin mentioned buying the efs 10-18 lens. I also have that, super lens on all points.
My experience was not so delightful. I bought a refurbished 80D and the on-camera flash was broken. It took me some time and effort to determine that I wasn’t just using it wrong. Canon fixed it under warranty but I still had to pay for shipping. The included lens has also given me focus problems. I am getting close to concluding it is also defective, but it has cost me a lot of good photos.
