Surprise! The Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM is now in-stock at Adorama or Amazon. The price is $479.00. This is the first of the many items recently announced to be available. Interestingly, this lens was scheduled for an October 9th release, but is has shown up in-stock two weeks early!
Could this point to an early release of the much awaited EOS R and 600mm III as well?

I’m not sure what to think about the future of the M mount. On the one hand, I would have thought it would be a dead mount now that we know what we know about the R mount. But then they are giving us this prime 32mm f1.4, which likely will kick ass. I just don’t know. M50 is great though, all the hate on it was based almost completely on the disappointing 4k specs. If only it wasn’t so tiny! I just couldn’t see myself with M lenses knowing that they can’t go on the R even with the adapter. The 32mm looks good though for those that are already in that system. If only they had given this kind of love to the EF-S lenses.
