Aww, I just missed it! Not too bad though, I was just kind of wanting to get a gimbal to help with my giant ass 100-400mm lens. It hand holds pretty well though with the IS, I was as low as 1/50sec the other day with the IS on. Pretty impressive at 400mm.

This gimbal is pretty much junk. It’s just a rebranded gimbal that had some pretty awful reviews. I reasearched this thing heavily in 2016 when looking to buy one in preparation for the eclipse. If you want a quality budget gimbal, you’re better off going with a Promaster one. As of last year, they had 2 different versions. Of course, the trick is to find an authorized Promaster dealer. Where I live (Chicagoland area, we have at least 2, ProCam and PJ’s Camera. There are other dealers around, but those are the only ones I’m familiar with. And at least with ProCsm, you can order online.

FYI, the weak link of the Movo is where it screws in to the tripod. That’s where most of the breakage occurs.

I have this. The 1st one they sent the mount was major defective causing camera & lens to crash to the ground, twice. Only one side of the mount in the gimbal had a groove cut out that was suppose to hold the mounting plate, it was only a 90 degree angle cut, therefore no gripping action, instead of a 45 cut. I didnt notice the issue until the 2nd fall. Poor quality control to allow that mistake to ship! My 7D hasn’t worked right since, AF is flakey since lens mounting plate on camera was slightly pulled out & even after retightening the screws rhere’s issues. They never offered to repair my camera or the lens. They did send a new mount on the gimbal but only offered a small credit. My 85L also needs repair from the 2nd fall, the MF has issues, altho the AF works. I do NOT recommend this company. They should have bent over backwards in offering to pay for repairs to my gear! Spend for a higher quality gimbal, which I should have done.
