Interesting that so many Canon shooters are interested in Sony cameras to warrant mention of this deal on CPW. Maybe Canon will take notice and give us loyal customers what we need to remain loyal.

I’ve moved on to Panasonic. They were taking too long.

I’ve considered Panasonic. But want to go up in sensor size to FF, not down to MFT, to get better low-light performance, tighter DOF and be able to use the better L glass.

But even then, no IS in the 16-35/2.8L or 24-70/2.8L is yet another issue for video.

How about the Sony a7s II (or wait for the III)? Sounds like it would check your boxes.

Lyle Krannichfeld It would, but entry price is a huge barrier. If the 6D2 had the same sensor technology as the 80D I could have waited another upgrade cycle for 4K. Also, not sure how well mirrorless will handle motorsports.

Is the low light all that I dreamed it would be?

Adrian Silvia-Flosi and a little bit more! The camera is seriously amazing. The integration with canon glass made the switch easy for me.

Nate Rodriguez But I am a damn dirty Nikon user 😛

Adrian Silvia-Flosi oh ha ha. Well I already invested in a lot of L canon glass so it was hard to justify the jump.

I also have the 85 gmaster and it’s sweet too

I am so tempted, but I have to finish the ST this year and then save for a new house and.. well something similar to what was posted in your other picture 😉

BTW I bought a camera from adorama once and was mislead. When I went back to return it, they wouldn’t even speak to me. B&H must better customer service and they are honest.

I’ve heard the dynamic range and eye focus is great on Sony. I’m sticking with my Canons for now. Maybe next time around I’ll consider it. 5dm4 is great for what I do. For portraits Sony might be a good choice. For weddings, maybe not.

As someone who originally was all Canon and have recently dipped toes into Sony and Panasonic (but still using Canon lenses with adapters) I’m happy to see a Sony deal here.

Any chance you guys will think about expanding the site to include more Sony and Panasonic gear in the future?

I still am keeping my 5D4 and continue to keep track of Canon gear from this site but it would be awesome if you can keep us up to date on other non-Canon deals too! 😀
