I bought the max (2 copies/key codes) and here are the instructions that Amazon sent along:
Worked like a charm. Didn’t even have to cancel my current subscription that was attached to my credit card.
I learned the hard way that if you cancel before your 12 months completes you will be charged 50% of the remaining as penalty. I was not aware it is a contract for 12 months. Sure adobe has that hidden in those huge end user agreement. I learned this when I was paying full amount+tax one of the camera store was selling 12 months for $100. I tried to cancel my plan to add the newly bought subscription that when I got the shock. So cancelling is not worth it IMO. Instead you can add this to extent the subscription.
For those who wondering how to add this to your existing subscription
go to https://accounts.adobe.com
login with your credentials
Click on Plans & Products tab on the top
Click on Manage plan
Click on Redeem a redemption code
A pop will appear prompting for the code
Enter the code and click on Redeem Code

Sounds like last time amazon has done this sometime back in October. From time to time camera stores have offer on them mostly ~$100 and rarely around ~$90. Someone in ebay sells this for ~$84 from time to time
This was at least the third time this season, and I know earlier this year there were a few times too. I bought one for my sub that runs out in April, I’m sure I’ll have no trouble getting the same deal before April of 2019.
