The Canon Direct Store has made three recently released items available refurbished for the very first time:
- EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM is now $879.20
- EOS M6 (Black or Silver) is now $623.99
- EOS Rebel T7i with 18-55mm Kit is now $719.99
Refurbished items from the Canon Direct Store come with a 1-year Canon USA warranty. Check out our refurbished stock tracker to setup notifications to get e-mailed when a sale begins.
Amex Rebate is only if you buy two or more lenses. Refurb isn’t that much cheaper than street price when at regular price. Wait for a 10% off sale.
If you can afford two lenses, you can get better price for new copy depending on your stat tax. Canon charges tax. So, it would be $941 shipped to PA. Shipping is free. Street price is $1060. If I buy two new lenses, I can get $150 off (each) which brings price down to $910 (no tax to PA, Free shipping (I think)). If I use wife logic, I will make 31 dollars buying new. (Which I am obligated to spend immediately.) What / when is the 10% sale?
Every month or two, the Canon Direct Store runs a 10%-off refurbished sale. At that point, the refurb lenses all become great deals.
I agree that if you’re willing to buy multiple lenses, brand new makes the most sense (via our street price program) — tax free, and qualifies for the mail-in rebate.
CanonPriceWatch.com 10% off is nothing how about 25%
