Authorized Canon USA dealer BuyDig has three great bundles of popular lenses with PIXMA PRO-100 printers. This is brand new, not grey market, from an authorized Canon USA dealer with a 1-year Canon USA warranty, plus the free 13-month CarePAK Plus. Fantastic deal, it will likely sell out or expire soon.
Can this be combined with the Lens Combo Mail-in Rebate?
Called both Buydig and Canon Rebate, they said if the lens is included as a kit, either with a camera or printer or anything else, then it won’t qualify. But I think it’s still a pretty good deal though.
I think you got an incorrect answer from Canon and BuyDig.
Ask BuyDig if the items (lens and printer) are listed separately on the invoice with separate prices. If yes, you can add a second lens and get both the printer and the combo-lens mail-in rebate.
This lens is NOT included as a kit. By “kit” they’re referring to a single SKU for multiple items (e.g. the lenses in the camera kits — 6D + 24-105, 5D3/4 + 24-105 — are NOT eligible for rebates.)
That’s what I asked and Buydig told me that it is listed in the invoice as a kit (price is bundled, not separated) although it is in 2 different boxes with 2 different UPC codes.
I purchased the 70-200mm deal and the items are listed together. So it looks like it cannot be combines.
Coupon no longer works =(
I bit the bait and now seems I can’t get the $250 rebate. Invoice lists this as 24-70 lens kit with the printer and paper. Only lists $1749 next to the lens. No rebate seems to apply, but I do have the correct SKU for the printer. Buydig is washing their hands and telling me to ask Canon for support on the rebate.
I hope that’s not the case. I just mailed the rebate in today. The site definitely had the rebate after the discount.
Me too… I asked follow up questions and nothing from Buydig… definitely not great service, and I will cross them out from my list going forward. They didn’t answer if they would take the whole shebang back without the SKU on the printer box.
Please let us know if the rebate worked for you.
They’ve done this before and typically the Canon rebate processor accepts it. You can also ask BuyDig to provide an itemized invoice, if you run into problems with the Canon rebate processor.
I got a reply to my question if I could return the purchase without the bar code label in case Canon refused, they replied they didn’t know. How can the store not know if I can return things. Terrible service.
I will try the rebate, if it fails I will try an itemized invoice too, but I am upset with this whole thing.
If you can get 100 bucks out of the printer, ink, and paper, then you come out ahead of the rebate, especially on the 24-70mm.
