Authorized Sigma USA dealer BuyDig is having a sale on the Sigma Contemporary 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM: it’s available for $799.00, when you apply coupon code “c1172109389” in-cart. Free shipping.
Although not the lowest price we’ve ever seen for this lens, this is a decent deal vs. the regular price of $989. Sigma lenses purchased from authorized dealers come with a 4-year Sigma USA warranty. Nikon mount is also available.
Not bad, am renting one next week.
Any thoughts on this vs sport ?
no comparison
?
I’ve shot with both. If you need ultimate weather sealing and want to carry 6 pounds vs 4 go for the sport. It is sharper all the way to the edges but the contemporary is just as sharp in the center as the sport. Shooting with 7d mark ii and Nikon d810. I’ve got the contemporary for both now. Most of the time your going to crop with this type of lens anyway so the contemporary is what I fell in love with.
Shot with contemporary model on a d810
Contemporary on a canon 6d
I wonder how the weather sealing compares between the Sigma sport & the Tamron G2?
Sweet shot
7D MK II with sport version
considering how they juked me on a bundle deal I found on YOUR website, I would never buyshit from buydig. If as reputable a dealer as YOU claim you only name they would have honored their F up
Sadly, most online dealers do not honor their price mistakes anymore…
Thank you guys! I have been wanting this lens for a while, and your e-mail came while I had enough money for the sale price. Just purchased it!

Ooooh, good deal! I still want the sport even though it’s so heavy. That lens is so sharp!

I’ve gotten excellent results with the sport and the contemporary. Ultimately, I returned the sport and kept the contemporary based mainly on weight…and little difference in quality. Weather sealing isn’t that big of a game changer for me as I’m not shooting in the rain or snow…
