EF 35mm f/1.4L II for $1439 Refurbished or $1559 New (Street Price)

The Canon Direct Store has the refurbished EF 35mm f/1.4L II in-stock for only $1439.20. This is the first time we’ve seen a large quantity of this lens in-stock refurbished.

Our readers know that the better deal may be our street price of $1559 brand new from a Canon USA authorized dealer with free shipping, as the Canon Direct Store collects sales tax to most states, but our street price dealer does not.

Please note the price on this stellar lens will increase after Saturday, as this is one of eleven lenses targeted for a price increase.

You actually pay more after sales taxes if you get the refurbished one.

Have to agree, lately new Canon releases have been WAY out of line but then again where can you get a 35 quite like this one.

Price will increase after Saturday.. so your almost fair price isn’t going to be almost fair anymore

Fine with me, I have no need to buy. I owned the Sigma, far better for the money. I need other focal lengths than this.

I was hesitant to buy this lens as I tend to shoot at 85 and 135 the majority of the time and rarely used the 35mm f/2 IS when I had it (it was soft wide open which made me dislike the results) but I got a great deal on a barely used and still under warranty copy and I’m SO glad I bought it. It’s only left my camera twice in the last 3 weeks. Phenomenal lens with outstanding results. It’s already made me reconsider the use of my 85/135 for most shots (almost entirely portraiture).
