XC15 4K and EOS C700 Announced, $3000 Price Drop on C500

Canon demonstrates their continued dedication to the cinema market by announcing a compact 4K camcorder and a new Cinema EOS camera. We’re now tracking their prices.

No surprise, we’re seeing a massive price drop on their older generation Cinema EOS bodies, with a $3000 price drop on the Canon EOS C500 Cinema EOS at B&H Photo Video. It’s now available for $6999.00.

Wow. So they put this out, meanwhile the RED Scarlet does more and has 5k at a price tag of $7400. So you can buy a RED Scarlet, a Zeiss CP2 Kit, and some rigging and still only spend $28,000 …

Canon, back at it again with shooting themselves in the foot.
