Get Notified When the 5D Mark IV is Available for Pre-Order

The EOS 5D Mark IV will be announced next week, as suggested by the multiple leaks of photos and specs. Overall, the leaked specs suggest this is a worthy successor to the Mark III, featuring a 30 MP sensor, 7 frames per second, dual-pixel autofocus, a 61-point autofocus system, touchscreen LCD, and built-in WiFi, GPS and NFC.

Also being announced at the same time will be the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM, available in a kit with the 5D Mark IV, as well as the well awaited EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM.

The camera is expected to ship in early September, but key to getting an early delivery is putting your name on one (or several) pre-order lists. To get notified by e-mail when the items are announced and available for pre-order, please click the below links, then click the “Notify” button.

Probably closer to $3299 is what we’re hearing, but close enough.

For that price I think I’ll be jumping off the Canon ship & heading to Sony for a A7R ii… I’ve been a life long canon customer but they aren’t making the technology leaps to stay competitive anymore

Now is that for the body? Or the bundle with the kit lens?

That dual pixel focus is money. If it’s as good or better than 1DxII—buy it!

wow. awesome. i somehow thought their other offerings over the last year were the next generation of the 5d III. Speaking of which, do you presume the prices will drop any on the 5dIII? I bought mine a few years back and sort of stopped paying much attention to the new camera marketplace but whenever i would poke my head out i would be utterly surprised by the fact that prices have tended to hold steady or, in a truly surprising shift a la sony and their a6000, even go up in retail cost.

This is unreal how minimal the upgrade is compared to the 5dm3. Why would anyone want to jump from a 5dm3 to this? It already has a stellar focus ability and awesome low light prowess. I kinda figured the 5dm4 would not have much of an upgrade and I was right.

    1. August 20, 2016 at 12:12 pm EST

4k, dual pixel, likely expanded dynamic range, 8 additional MP for more flexibility cropping, etc.

  17. August 20, 2016 at 1:07 am EST

Man they should update the 11-24 to a lighter version… Weighs like a damn cine prime

The best thing about the Mark 4 is that it will lower the price of the Mark 3

  20. August 20, 2016 at 10:55 am EST

I was disappointed that the 61 focus points don’t go closer to the edges of the field of view.
