Black Friday: Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3 VC for $699 AR BuyDig eBay

UPDATE: Amazon has now matched — $699 AR.

Finally, a hot deal that is worthy of Black Friday, from BuyDig via eBay: they have the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD for $699.99, after a $120 mail-in rebate. Canon, Nikon, and Sony mounts are available. BuyDig is Tamron authorized.

This is a combination of two mail-in rebates from Tamron USA: a regular $70 mail-in rebate, and a stackable bonus $50 mail-in rebate that is for this week only. NOTE: You must submit both!

The Sigma Contemporary is touted to be slightly better, but at this price-point this lens is hard to beat. This is a hot price!

I had this lens and sold it after I bought the 100-400II, but at this price, I’m considering picking it up again!

Wow….considering I paid $ 1069 plus tax and many weeks of wait for this lens exactly one year ago….

Other than the wait, same here. I was lucky to pick one up from a local store at the time and only lost $100 when I sold it

I almost bought it… but then I remembered that you rotate the zoom ring backwards compared to Canon brand lenses. I like that you can lock it at 100 and near 400… but that backwards rotation is something that will bother me I think.

For what it’s worth, I owned the lens for several months and used it quite a bit and it never bothered me, I’ve always shot Canon only lenses in the past

Do I mail in only that one rebate form above & I will automatically received $120 rebate check? Or do I have to mail in two rebate forms, $50 and $70, separately?

It looks like you have to fill out both rebate forms. I’ve updated the post.

So fill out both rebate forms and put them in one envelope, seeing that both require original serial number cutout from the box?

Looking at the rules for rebate redemption. It says purchases from Ebay don’t qualify? Rules

As noted before, items sold by BuyDig via eBay have a BuyDig receipt with no mention of eBay.

    2. November 29, 2015 at 1:08 pm EDT

If you’re still concerned, Amazon has matched this price now.

Will these rebates be honored given it’s not BuyDig selling the lens but rater BuyDig’s eBay store? Do they also qualify as an Authorized Tamron dealer?

      November 28, 2015 at 4:34 pm EDT

The receipt will be from BuyDig and does not mention eBay.

It has not been a problem for Canon rebates from BuyDig via eBay, I can’t see it being a problem for Tamron.

Went to the link and it says $819.99 … click bait?

Is Amazon an authorized dealer? It’s not on the list:

      November 28, 2015 at 9:06 pm EDT

Odd. They’re not on the list, yet they’re promoting the rebate on their site, so they better darn well be an authorized dealer. The fact that Amazon is listing the rebate is probably clearly Amazon’s problem to resolve, should Tamron deny it.

      1. November 28, 2015 at 9:45 pm EDT

Amazon’s site is only showing the $70 rebate and not the bonus $50 one, so something is fishy.

Nevermind, refreshing the page shows both rebates, they must have just loaded them.

Did anyone receive order # from Buydig ? I can see paypal payment confirmation but no order email from ebay / buydig.

  12. November 29, 2015 at 12:51 pm EDT

I called and it’s an open box item equals no rebate or warranty too bad …

    1. November 29, 2015 at 1:02 pm EDT

No, the item via eBay is different from the item they have on their website. The one of their website is OB, this one is brand new.

    2. November 29, 2015 at 1:02 pm EDT
    3. November 29, 2015 at 1:09 pm EDT

I was told different by Ray at buydig about the ebay version . But I will check out the Amazon link thank you.

    4. November 29, 2015 at 1:13 pm EDT

Sadly, he’s mis-informed. The eBay version has SKU TMAFA011C700, their website has SKU TMAFA011C700OB.

    5. November 29, 2015 at 1:14 pm EDT

Their eBay listing also says “Condition: Brand new, USA Warranty”.

    6. November 29, 2015 at 1:57 pm EDT

Ordered 1 from Amazon. The rebates show up right in description For $700 bucks even without the rebate at $820 is a great price. Thanks for the heads up!.

Noticed Amazon’s price after rebate $749 , it is not including the second $50 bonus rebate. Was thinking of cancelling Buydig and order via amazon coz of prime and return service.

      November 29, 2015 at 12:16 pm EDT

It was showing $120 rebate earlier, with a final price of $699. Seems buggy.

I just reloaded and it’s showing both rebates with a final price of $699.

Be careful with Buydig via eba +paypal . I ordered it on Friday but never received any order confirmation from ebay or buydig. Called both ebay and buydig, neither has a record of my order #. Buydig refused to refund advised me to talk to paypal. I spent hours with Paypal requesting them to cancel the pmt but they remain admant, strange and scary that they will not honor the fact that transaction was erroneous doea not have an order to link it to. Paypal will cancel the payment despite missing order event after getting ebay agent on the phone. Now I’m stuck for 9 days for their dispute resolution process before I could reorder. I will suggest use amazon and credit card than paypal.

Sneaky, when the sale was over, the seller changed the condition to “Seller Refurbished” and the description to “Open Box”, trying to hide from the Sigma MAP police…
