This hot deal is back: Get It Digital via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $1999.99. This is today’s eBay daily deal.

This is likely grey market / import, as Get It Digital via eBay is not an authorized dealer. As a result, a Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed (the store provides a warranty instead). Historically Canon USA has provided warranty service on grey market bodies anyway — but this is at the discretion of Canon USA, and can change at any time.

This retailer has been a reliable eBay seller based on eBay feedback and reader feedback. They’ve sold over 2700 bodies — most were at this price. We will caution that they have attempted up-sell calls (asking you to upgrade to a USA model for an extra fee). We recommend you stay firm and insist that they process your order at the $1999 price, there are no physical differences between import models and USA models, even though they may attempt to convince you otherwise.

For more details on grey market vs. USA model, you can read our FAQ on the topic here.

If you’d feel more comfortable with an authorized dealer and a guaranteed Canon USA warranty, check out our street price of $2199 from an authorized Canon USA dealer with a 1-year Canon USA warranty and great customer service.

grey mkt 5D3 has been hitting $1999 price for a long time now, maybe over a year.

Wait a little longer and see it drop $1799

Meh, they run the same deal every few weeks.

It always cracks me up when I read about a bargain not being a bargain, or simply no good enough.. I jumped on this deal when it was at $2400, and I still feel, no, I still know it was a great bargain for this camera, which by the way has already paid itself a couple times over with the work I done with it and I been extremely happy with it…
You know, if you like waiting in about 10 years it will be a lot cheaper I am shure :), common :p

I know a lot of people are skeptical about this so I just wanted to add that I purchased this deal the last time they ran the sale and it went very smooth. It is a grey market camera but everything came in the box and all you have to do I go into the menu and change the language. I have done multiple shoots with it and it works perfectly. They will call you and try an up sell you to a USA model but all you have to do is say no thank you please just ship the one I ordered and they will not give you a hard time. It took about 7-9 days total from order to doorstep. I would highly recommend this and buying my 5d3 back in the day for 3k and now getting this one for 2k is a no brainer to me. They are literally identical and I see no reason why anyone should hesitate on this deal. 🙂

I purchased the 5D Mark III early Wednesday morning and still no tracking information aside from the tracking number (Friday). I live in NJ and they’re based out of NYC. Considering I work in the Financial District, I should’ve just picked it up myself.
