Canon Holiday Mail-in Rebates Extended to January 31st

Happy New Year! The Canon Store posted what appears to be a new rebate form on their website — it shows the current rebates being extended at the same values until January 31st.

This is great news, as we now have four more weeks to take advantage of the excellent Holiday prices and street prices. You also now have until March 2nd to submit the form for the current rebate — but don’t wait until the last minute.

Please note that this is actually a rebate extension, where they’ve changed the end-date, not a brand new rebate. This means you are still subject to the one-copy per item limit during the period (November 23rd – January 31st). For example, you can get a rebate on two different lenses, but you cannot get two rebates on the same lens, or do two printer bundles.

This is also a good time to remind our readers to check on the status of your recent rebate submission. Most readers have gotten rebates approved from Thanksgiving sales already.

If you purchase something through a link on our site, we may get a small share of the sale (at no cost to you). Please read our disclosure for more info.

Series I or II? Also, why are you selling, what’s the condition and previous use? How much are you asking?

Great – now the 5D Mark III will continue whispering “buy me now” in my ear!!! Thanks for the info and Canon Rumors is highlighting the 5D Mark III for $2296 from getitdigital (unauthorized dealer, if I’m not mistaken).

Now I have more time to save for the 70-200II. I might not have to wait until the next holiday season.

I hope you can swing it. It’s a magical lens that is a pleasure to shoot. I just got it and am having a ball! It works very well with the 1.4 extender, if you can/need to fit that in.

I checked the status of mine and it hasn’t been received yet – I mailed it a couple of weeks ago. At what point should I start to panic?

Readers have recently reported about a 3-4 week delay in processing, with the rebate approved at 3 weeks and the rebate cards received at 4. Don’t worry yet!

In November I received my rebate after 13 days, this last one I sent in over a month ago and it still only shows ‘submitted’. Guess they’re slammed.
