Live Again at B&H: EOS 6D + PIXMA PRO-10 for $1249 AR (Super Hot)

UPDATE 12:00 PM Monday: I am told B&H will sell out imminently. This is your last chance to order this from B&H.

UPDATE 12:43 PM Monday: B&H is now sold out.

UPDATE 9 PM Monday: Adorama is now sold out.

If you missed this super-hot deal on Black Friday, here’s your second chance: B&H Photo Video has a bundle of the EOS 6D and PIXMA PRO-10 for $1249.00, after a $650 mail-in rebate ($300 on camera + $350 on printer).

Click here to check out the deal at B&H Photo Video. They also have the EOS 6D + 24-105mm f/4L IS + PIXMA PRO-10 for $1849 AR.

UPDATE: Adorama has now matched. (Add to cart to see.)

Note this is the pigment-based PIXMA PRO-10, not the usual dye-based PIXMA PRO-100 printer normally included in these deals. The PIXMA PRO-10 regularly goes for $699.00.

These are the lowest prices we’ve ever seen on the EOS 6D from an authorized dealer, but it does require a mail-in combo rebate. The Canon rebates are very reliable.

It says it ships in 3-7 business days, so they do not have stock on hand, but at least you can order this again. It has been out of stock since Friday afternoon. This is a super hot deal and will likely sell out (again). Free expedited shipping.

Does anyone know if canon takes returns on their refurbs? Just got mine in the mail today but wish I’d waited for this deal instead.

    1. November 30, 2014 at 1:31 pm EDT

Yes, they do — but I believe you will be charged for the original shipping.

    2. November 30, 2014 at 1:31 pm EDT

Their usual return period is 14 days, I don’t know if it has been changed for the holidays.

Just purchased! I have a question on the rebate. I’ve been stalking the 24-70 lens for a price drop and also looked into street pricing (any rumors about cyber Monday by chance?). The rebate says “limit one claim per eligible product per household”. So I can get 2 rebates as long as it’s a different product, correct?

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      November 30, 2014 at 1:35 am EDT

That is correct. As long as they are different products, you can buy them during the same rebate period and get rebates.

(Note the printers are considered “the same”, so you can only do one printer bundle, it doesn’t matter if they are different printers.)

      1. Robert
        November 30, 2014 at 7:12 am EDT

So if two bundles(6D+ Pixmar pro-10 printer)are purchased by the same household today, only one rebate combination(300+350) is eligible for claim?

        1. CanonPriceWatch
          November 30, 2014 at 8:11 am EDT

That is correct. Both components of the rebate ($300 or $350) cannot be done twice in the same period for the same item. You’ll need another household.

THanks CPW. Best deal for 6D. Do you know why promotion code 8191324 is not working on pre-submission on canon’s rebate site?

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      November 30, 2014 at 1:45 am EDT

They haven’t put in the new rebate yet. It generally takes anywhere from a few days to a week, it will probably be in next week, is my guess.

  7. November 30, 2014 at 2:39 am EDT

Thanks CPW. I purchased the 6D + a few other items through your link.

There already is the 5D Mark III equivalent of this deal, 5D Mark III + PIXMA PRO-10 for $2749 AR.
      http://www.canonpricewatch.com/blog/2014/11/hot-bh-deal-5d-mark-iii-pixma-pro-10-for-2749-after-rebate/

Assuming MAP isn’t broken this year, that can’t go lower with just a printer bundle, as MAP on the 5D Mark III is $3199 AR.

adoroma has this $1899 in the cart. It says price reflects the rebates of $650. What that means ?

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      December 1, 2014 at 1:45 am EDT

The price ($1899) charged to you by Adorama is a pre-rebate price, then you have to get a $650 mail-in rebate from Canon to net $1249.

      1. December 1, 2014 at 4:07 pm EDT

At checkout Adorama says the $1899 price reflects the rebate…

        1. CanonPriceWatch
          December 1, 2014 at 4:15 pm EDT

Doesn’t matter — as long as they charge you $1899, you take the receipt, plus the UPCs, and mail-in to get $650 from Canon.

      2. December 1, 2014 at 6:17 pm EDT

Sorry, last question, I’m having trouble finding how the rebates add up to $650. I see a combo rebate for $350 OR a body rebate for $300 and printer for $200 on the Canon rebate page. Here’s where I’m looking

This is addressed on our FAQ:
          http://www.canonpricewatch.com/blog/2014/11/frequently-asked-questions-about-the-canon-mail-in-rebates/

But basically, you are eligible for BOTH the 6D ($300) and 6D+PIXMA+paper ($350) rebates. This is something that’s been done by many readers on past deals and does indeed work, otherwise the stores and CPW would not be promoting it as such.

        2. December 1, 2014 at 6:24 pm EDT

Awesome. Thank you so much for the information!! You’ve been so helpful!

  28. December 1, 2014 at 7:29 am EDT

if you are weary about the rebate(s), B&H and Adorama allow paypal payment options which gives everyone the option to process through Paypal Credit (also known as Bill me later) and when you receive your American Express Gift card ($650) you can put that gift card towards the Paypal Credit, you just have to wait maybe 1-1.5 months to receive it. Call B&H and Adorama for additional help on the rebate form.

Both are equally good dealers, it is a matter of your personal preference. Historically I’ve had slightly better (personal) success with ordering from B&H, but they are the two top stores and are neck and neck.

The extra battery is worth cancelling the BH order?

    1. Ed
      December 1, 2014 at 5:43 pm EDT

The battery is $57 on Adorama’s website. You also get extra a 1-year New Leaf “spills and drops” warranty and a bag. B&H has closed their deal (no stock) and I’m not sure how Adorama’s stock is holding up. Be careful and don’t leave yourself sitting out in the cold. 😉

Great deal. Thanks for all the info.

  38. December 1, 2014 at 7:15 pm EDT

To confirm, i called Canon Rebate center and told them about the promotion (Promotion ID: 8191324 AND included the store’s name Adorama) and if you highlight or check Canon 6d body kit ($300), check everything from the Bundle which is the last Bundle option (e.g. Pro Pixma 10, canon 6d, semi gloss photo paper) they will grant $650. Canon Rep from the Rebate center is Emy/Amy who can attest to the special and sher clearly said $650 not $550 (i.e. printer = $200 + bundle $350). Finally, you need an itemized invoice and of course 1 cut out of the UPC from the camera box and printer box. Enjoy!

How come when you add the Adorama bundle to your cart, it says that the $1899 price reflects a $650 rebate?

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      December 1, 2014 at 8:13 pm EDT

I cannot explain why Adorama put this here; but as I mentioned, as long as you’re paying $1899, and you get an itemized receipt (which Adorama can provide if you ask), you will be eligible for the $650 mail-in rebate, as calls to the Canon rebate center have confirmed (see shotokun16’s post above).

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      December 1, 2014 at 10:33 pm EDT

No, don’t read into that; they are just discontinuing the SKU (the listing in their database representing this bundle). That message is probably the boilerplate message that comes up when you view a discontinued SKU. This SKU is a B&H Kit, not an actual Canon part number.

      December 2, 2014 at 8:20 am EDT

First of all, let me say I have the utmost in respect for both stores and think they are the two best stores in our marketplace.

But let me tell you a true story. I’m not saying this is a trend, or pattern, but a single datapoint that I experienced personally. Once upon a time there were two stores, let’s call them “A” and “B”.

Store “B” moved first and had a great deal on the EOS M, around the time that it was about to discontinued (I believe it was the EOS M + 22mm for $299). I ordered from B, like many of us!

About half a day later Store “A” matched. Same deal, but I happened to have a expiring $20 coupon or something from A. It was more the principle of it, so I cancelled my order with “B” and went with “A” instead. The coupon went towards an SD card which I needed for the camera (so effectively I switched for a free SD card.)

Fast forward about a week — store “B” is shipping out EOS M + 22mm + a free 90EX, a single kit, to fill all their orders (wow), where as my order with “A” (along with a bunch of other readers’ orders) gets quietly cancelled. I am disappointed.

Not trying to make a statement of one store vs. another, but two things I learned from this: one, sometimes you just should be happy with the deal you already have (if you were happy when you first ordered it), instead of squeezing out every last drop; and two, I probably didn’t need the EOS M anyway, as a few weeks after that I had totally forgotten about my disappointment. 🙂

        December 2, 2014 at 10:21 am EDT

        Ugh. Thanks for sharing.

I’m not usually intent on scrimping every last penny …. in this case, though, the difference came to $380 and so it was hard to let it go. Hadn’t really considered that a reputable store would just back out of fulfilling orders. I’m not really a newbie to photography, but I am a bit of a newbie to super bargain shopping for photo equipment.

        1. CanonPriceWatch
          December 2, 2014 at 11:19 am EDT

I’m sure there were extenuating circumstances, or they wouldn’t have done that. I don’t blame them, and would order again, and recommend again (as I have many times).

Speaking generally and not in this case, as a rule of thumb, for complex non-typical deals like this one I like to go with the ‘first mover’, the rationale is they’ve likely had more time to prepare, order inventory, plan the deal; compared to a store that is matching it and is scrambling.

  49. Mary S.
    December 2, 2014 at 10:33 am EDT

Actually, now I’m confusing myself. Never mind about the saving $380. That was a different situation/

Update. Called Adorama customer service and explained that only one item in the package (the camera bag) says “Backordered” while everything else, including the camera body, says “Pending.” The rep explained that the one item on backorder holds up the entire order, but he immediately offered to have the other items ship right away (of course I opted for this). I specifically asked if the camera body is in stock, and he said yes. I am hopeful that all will turn out well.

    December 2, 2014 at 12:48 pm EDT

Ordered with the lens from b&h friday, order status page says ‘drop ship order submitted to vendor’. Called yesterday and they said it’s backordered because of the printer, and that they wouldn’t ship the camera and lens separately, which I only asked for after learning that more printers are ‘on their way’ with no indication on when the printers are coming in. A second csr a couple hours later seemed equally unsympathetic and was unable to help as well. Having struck out, figured I’d take a stab at the pricematch with adorama for even a camera bag, for my trouble. Take a guess how that worked out.

It’s worth mentioning the not exactly the great customer service I’ve seen this far, plus at no point during the checkout process nor on my emailed receipt was a backorder indicated – in fact, the email mentioned an expected delivery date of today.

Thus far, regretting not going for an ebay deal. Have had nothing but good experiences with the big vendors, and they’ve never used my money to fund their stock purchase and made me wait in the meantime, as is what this certainly appears to be. If cpw wants to jump in here to at least provide a straight answer on when this stuff is coming, please feel free- Order # 1031471008. No offense though, even if you intervene, it doesn’t change the reality that my first experience with b&h has been subpar and will likely be my last.

    My 2c. Thanks.

I suggest checking your order detail to see which item/s are in backorder, if any. In my screen I saw that just the camera bag was listed as on backorder. Talked with customer service and they seemed happy to push the rest of the order through the process. My status has now changed from “Backorder” to “Ready.”

Been two weeks since I placed my order, and my PIXMA-10 printer is still on order. I’m about to have a panic attack. What about my rebate? What if my printer doesn’t come in for a long time? How do I ensure my rebate? I was really hoping to get this all sent off and done with before the holiday season really gets going. Very unhappy with B&H, How can you sell a product you don’t have? I don’t even need this printer but I’m waiting for it just for the rebate. Which I can’t mail out til I get this printer. My hands are tied and I’m pretty frustrated.

Hi Alisha, have you tried contacting B&H? What do they say?

This was their extremely unhelpful response to my most recent inquiry:
