Double Dip Opportunity? 40mm Pancake for $99 AR, 50mm and EOS 6D

Last night, Canon moved from an instant-rebate to a mail-in rebate on certain items. Most retailers have adjusted their prices upwards to mark the ending of the instant rebate, but several eBay stores are a bit tardy in doing so.

UPDATE: As expected, some of the prices have been corrected. Some remain.

There’s a very brief window where you may be able to double-dip the rebate; as long as your invoice date is July 6th, 2014, you will be eligible for the mail-in rebate (on top of an instant rebate price). Yes, purchases at authorized dealers’ eBay stores are eligible for the rebate as the dealer will issue a normal receipt. These prices will likely be corrected later today. Find the rebate form here.

Yes, provided that it’s an authorized dealer (which 17th Street Photo is), however 17th Street Photo charges tax to NY too!

Excellent. Surprised they didn’t charge tax as they’re in NY. Make sure your invoice date from them is July 6th, 2014.

Check out the link. Looks like only adorama via eBay and one other ebay seller haven’t updated yet.

It looks like Amazon hasn’t updated their prices yet either. Any chance the double dip would work there as well? This comes at a perfect time…just when I was resigned to not buying a 6D until the fall/winter. Now I basically have to spend the money!

It should also work at Amazon BUT note that Amazon (the real Amazon) already raised their prices; what you might be seeing is a 3rd party merchant via Amazon.

You should make sure they’re an authorized dealer and eligible for the MIR.
