AllNewShop via eBay must not have been selling many Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $2559.99 (import version) so they’ve now added a Free 3-Year Extended Warranty to their deal. This is part of the on-going eBay Deal Frenzy!
AllNewShop via eBay is not an authorized dealer, but they are one of the most reliable unauthorized dealers — they’re the same company as Get It Digital, and their new additional extended warranty actually looks pretty decent. They claim their warranty is serviced at authorized repair centers only, no hidden fees, can be even serviced overseas, and even comes with a free annual cleaning.
Again, the bodies in today’s sale are import versions as they clearly write in the listing description. As usual you can read our explanation of authorized, unauthorized, and grey market.
If you bought yesterday before the listing was changed you may want to ask if you can also get the 3-year warranty added for free too!
Where’s the import version made?
Probably the same production line, just a different warranty card.
They all are made in the same factory. I bought the imported version a few weeks ago. No problems
Any opinion on this extended warranty? Is it reliable and are the Authorized repair centers as good as the Canon secvice centers?
This deal sounds very sweet…
No opinion. I have no first hand experience, nor have I heard anyone’s stories.
My guess is it would be better than nothing.
You may want to ask them if the authorized repair centers are Canon authorized repair centers; if they are, it should be equivalent.
I’m sticking with my USA warranty from last week’s sale.
I registered my 5D3 on the Canon site with no issues whatever.
That’s a great deal, but a little worried about buying from a unauthorized dealer.
Any possibilities NEW deals are coming for memorial day weeknds?
At least on the eBay side, the frenzy runs until this Friday.
It’s insurance, FYI, not a warranty:
CPS Central
is it worthy to buy?
Says it is an “import”
