Finally, another double-dip we’ve been waiting for! B&H Photo Video has the EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM for $1799.00, after a $200 mail-in rebate. This ties for the lowest price on this lens since June of 2009. You also get 2% B&H rewards.
You see the discounted price at checkout. The price at checkout is $1999, then you get a $200 mail-in rebate. After rebate your net is $1799.
UPDATE: Amazon is now matching this deal.
UPDATE 2: Adorama is now matching this deal.
This is the latest of a series of double dip deals, where the store discount by the value of the currently running mail-in rebate.
Have been waiting for this double-dip for weeks. Thanks CPW!
STOP counting the “Reward”, that thing takes almost 90 days to receive.
Almost worthless Plus since its a “Reward” should not be counted similar to Rebates.
Great deal but unfortunately that rebate doesn’t work for Canadians. I really want that lens.
What is going on with all these sales? Is there a problem with Canon price control, or do they have inventory control problem? Looks like both Canon and retailers are a bit desperate to move cameras/lenses.
Local craigslist is also slow in selling cameras/lenses – this is not a good omen for Canon. Is the DSLR market going to shrink just following the steps of P&S?
Amazon is currently matching this deal too!
Updated the post!
So is Adorama.
Wish I could get this also. No more funds for the lens until next year. I’ll just have to settle with my 24-70 mk2 and 70-200 mk2.
