B&H Photo Video is responding to the recent Amazon price drops: they have the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $2899.00, and the Canon EOS 6D for $1599.00.
You get the discount at checkout.
While not a full price match (Amazon still has the 5D Mark III for $2799), it is a good sign of possibly more deals to come!
Both deals come with 2% rewards, and free bonuses, such as SanDisk SD cards, batteries, a monopod, and a Canon bag.
Hot Deal: Amazon has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $2695.00. This is the new lowest authorized-dealer price for this body-only. We’d previously seen $2699 from Amazon and that price only lasted 7 hours.
They’re also giving away 4% rewards, a free camera bag, 8 GB CF card, and a battery. (From the Amazon 5D Mark III page click the link “Purchase This Camera and Take Advantage of the Following Promotion”.)
They also have the 5D Mark III Kit for $3349 but the Adorama bundle is a better deal at that price.
UPDATE: They’ve raised the price to $2799.
UPDATE 2: They’ve raised the price to $2899.
The deal from BigValueInc via eBay on the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $2445.00 is almost sold out. Note, they’re not an authorized dealer.
eBay reports that it is 71% sold, as of time of writing (40 minutes elapsed).
Our calculations show that there only 88 bodies left, and they will likely be sold out within the next thirty minutes.
1:31 AM ET: Sold out. 300 bodies in 91 minutes.
BigValueInc via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $2445.00. This is the absolute cheapest price we’ve seen ever, body-only, for the 5D Mark III.
BigValueInc via eBay is not an authorized dealer, but the vast majority of our readers report receiving US model items (which are valid for Canon US warranty service). At over $500 cheaper than authorized dealers, this is a great deal.
Also based on reader feedback, this is likely a split kit — an original 5D Mark III kit box, but with lens removed. BigValueInc sells the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens separately for $635.00.
This deal is still running: BigValueInc via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $2549.99. They’ve already sold 274 at this price in 3 days!
Or, you can hold out for another authorized dealer price drop; Amazon recently had this for $2699, including a brief 20 minute window yesterday at $2677.
BigValueInc via eBay is not an authorized dealer, but the last few sales the vast majority of our readers report getting US model items. It is likely worth it for the large savings!
Amazon briefly had the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $2677.48. This is the new lowest authorized dealer price for this camera body only. Unfortunately it only lasted about 20 minutes before returning to $2999 — watch carefully though, it might be back later today or tomorrow.
B&H Photo Video has the Canon EOS 6D for $1573.00, and now with 4% reward!
Amazon has it for $1573.95. These match the lowest price that we’ve ever seen from an authorized dealer for this camera body-only.
B&H Photo Video just started a fantastic deal on the EOS 6D with 24-105 Kit and a PIXMA PRO-100 for $1999.00, after a $400 mail-in rebate. Price seen at checkout. I’m told the 6D Kit deal is very limited quantity. Other authorized dealers are selling the camera kit alone for $2399 — this is a incredible price.
UPDATE: This deal got a lot hotter — they added a 4% reward. This takes the price down to (net) $1903. Incredible!
Click here to check out the 6D deal at B&H Photo Video. You also get free paper and a 16GB Sandisk Extreme SDHC card.
