Canon Refurbished Sale — Lenses Were Restocked Just Now

The Canon refurbished store sale just restocked lenses. They’re featuring $100 off a purchase of $1000 and $50 off a purchase of $500. You see the discount in-cart. This sale ends on Saturday.

Check out our refurbished stock tracker to see everything in-stock, and to set notifications.

Popular Street Prices: 70-200 II $1899, 24-70 II $1749, 16-35 f/4 $1049

The Canon 20%-off refurbished sale ended with no restock of highly-desired lenses — those lenses already sell out quickly at full refurbished price, so we’re not surprised that Canon did not restock them during the sale.

If you are disappointed, luckily, we still have some great street prices available, brand new from authorized Canon dealers with a full 1-year Canon USA warranty, no tax to most states:

The street price on the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM is especially popular as this is the first time the lens has gone on rebate. Again, we’re not expecting to see the Canon Minimum Advertised Price policy broken this year, so we don’t expect to see lower prices publicly shown on retailer’s websites.

We also continue to have two fantastic and popular body deals, and some grip specials, please inquire if interested.

Canon Refurbished Lens Sale! $50 off $500, $25 off $250

The Canon Refurb Store started a small sale tonight. They are offering $50 off a purchase of $500 or more. (Now we know why they re-stocked earlier today!) This sale runs until October 14th.

See the discounted price in-cart, at checkout.

These prices were already quite good due to the recent price drops. Recall, all refurbished items come with a full 1-year Canon warranty.

Check out our refurb stock tracker for the full list of lenses in-stock.

If you already purchased earlier today, note the Canon Direct Store does not price adjust, we’d recommend re-buying and cancelling the original order if you want to ensure you get in on the deal.

Canon Refurbished Store was Restocked

The Canon Refurb Store was just restocked. There is currently no refurbished sale, but these prices are quite good due to the recent price drops, and refurbished lenses have been selling out — even at “full” refurbished prices, as refurbished items come with a 1-year Canon warranty.

Canon Mail-in Rebate: 24-70 II for $1799 AR, 70-200 II for $1949 AR

It’s been two days since Canon started a mail-in rebate on 27 lenses. Thus far, the most popular street price lens deals in the new rebate have been the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II for $1949 AR and the 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM for $1799 AR.

The rebate also renewed the $200 mail-in rebate on the EOS 5D Mark III ($2699 AR) and the EOS 6D ($1439 AR).

Finally, one oddity: the rebate form shows an increased rebate this month, from $300 to $350, on the PIXMA PRO-100 Printer + Paper. This makes the printer $48 AR at B&H or Adorama — but perhaps we’ll see a price drop before the month is up?

Canon Rebates End This Week — Lens Prices Going Up

The current Canon Mail-in Rebates are set to end this week; they’re only valid for purchases through Saturday, July 5th, at US Canon authorized dealers.

We can confirm that a new set of mail-in rebates will begin on Sunday — however, most lens rebate values will be lowered, and some rebates eliminated altogether, which will effectively increase the final price. Specifically, some of the most popular items will see a significant change to the rebate:

In summary, if you are considering a purchase in the short term, now would be the time (take a look at our street prices). Based on historical data, we expect the next opportunity for large rebates will be in the fall, the ramp-up to the Holiday season. We must caution that given Canon’s success in strictly enforcing MAP for three months now, we think it’s unlikely to see a repeat of last year’s double-dip frenzy.
