Not much is known about the deals in this year’s Amazon “Prime Day” (which starts tomorrow at 3 AM ET). One deal that has already been announced by Amazon is “save big on select SanDisk and WD storage and memory products”. This is a deal that runs nearly every year and it’s typically worth waiting for.
Most Prime Day deal are restricted to Amazon Prime members only. Just like the previous four years, CanonPriceWatch will be watching all the deals, starting at 3 AM ET Monday. You can browse last year’s live-updating post or our archive of Prime Day related posts for examples of what was available in previous years.
This year’s Amazon “Prime Day” will start on Monday, July 15th! The deals start at 3 AM ET on Monday July 15th and run until 3 AM ET on Wednesday July 17th. Amazon’s Prime Day will have many exciting deals, many restricted to Amazon Prime members only. Just like the previous four years, CanonPriceWatch will be watching all the deals.
Don’t expect deals on Canon cameras or lenses on Prime Day. Canon items are restricted by a MAP year-round and Prime Day is no exception. You can browse last year’s live-updating post or our archive of Prime Day related posts for examples of what was available. We expect to see great prices on memory cards, filters, bags, Rokinon lenses, color calibration, studio equipment, and perhaps a 3rd party lens or two. Deals sell out quickly, so be prepared to jump on them (or waitlist). It is also a perfect time to pick up Amazon devices (such as Echo, Echo Dot, Fire TV, Fire Tablet, Kindle and assorted subscriptions).
As many deals are restricted to Amazon Prime members only, now would be a good time to sign-up for a free 30-day trial of Prime if you haven’t yet already. Be sure to check back on Monday 3 AM for the deals!

Amazon Prime Day 2018 is finally almost at a close! There are a number of great deals still live, but all deals will expire at 3 AM ET (early Wednesday).
One deal that is surely always worth doing: you can get a $5 credit when you make an Amazon gift card purchase of $25 or more. Be sure to apply coupon code GCPRIME18 at checkout, you then get a $5 credit towards a future purchase.

Amazon has a 1-year Subscription to Dropbox Plus – 1 TB of Storage for $79.20. Dropbox is rarely discounted!
The subscription increases your storage at Dropbox to 1 TB (from the free 2 GB.) That’s enough to create a complete cloud archive for most photographers. Last time this deal was offered, Dropbox support said this could be used to extend an existing subscription: “If you have an existing Plus or Professional subscription and redeem a license key, your Plus or Professional billing cycle associated with your license key will automatically start on your next renewal date. You will not be charged again until the Plus or Professional billing cycle associated with your license key expires.”
