105mm F2.8 EX DG OS Macro for Canon Macro Lens

Amazon has the Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS Macro for Canon for $586.55. This is the absolute lowest price we’ve ever seen for this optically-stabilized lens (from an authorized Sigma dealer).

This price drop is on top of a roughly $100 instant-savings that Sigma is running — most other stores have this lens for $669 which is already a pretty good price. As with all Amazon deals, this price is below the Minimum Advertised Price and is likely only seen for a few hours.

UPDATE: This is now sold out. However, Amazon is still taking back-orders at this price and will ship the lens when they get more stock.

For comparison, the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro is currently $1035 (having been as low as $720 during the holiday deals).

This is a hot deal as the lowest price we’ve seen for the 70D body-only from an authorized dealer was $949 (Amazon), this is $20 cheaper and with free printer (after rebate). This is today’s eBay Daily Deal.

Here’s a link to the rebate form. Our readers have been successful in the past in getting a receipt from BeachCamera (or BuyDig) that doesn’t mention eBay, to comply with the rebate rules. The auction listing itself mentions that it is eligible for a $400 rebate so we don’t expect you’ll have problems. Compare with $3628, the lowest current authorized dealer price without the printer and rebate. This a fantastic deal as it’s almost as low as the $3199 lowest-ever price we saw for the 5D3 + 24-105mm in December of 2013, and you get a free printer!

Canon mail-in rebates have been extremely reliable. This is a new printer rebate (period started January 1st, 2014). Even if you did a printer rebate in Q4 of 2013, you are also eligible for this rebate.
