New Canon Lens Mail-in Rebate: March 2nd – March 29th

Canon has started a new mail-in rebate: receive a rebate of up to $200 off twenty different L-lenses, on purchases at authorized dealers between March 2nd to March 29th.

We list the lenses, the rebate amount, and after-rebate prices below. Some of the lenses (in bold) are great deals as the price is close to the very low prices that we saw during the holiday season!

Please check back as we’ll be watching carefully to see if any stores give further discounts on top of these prices.

Here’s a link to the mail-in rebate form. Just like previous rebates, the rebate is given in the form of an AMEX gift card, which can be refunded to a check on demand. Recent Canon mail-in rebates have been highly reliable.

New March $100 Tamron Rebate on 24-70 VC and 70-200 VC

Tamron has started a new $100 mail-in rebate on their very popular optically image-stabilized 24-70mm f/2.8 SP Di VC USD and 70-200mm f/2.8 SP Di VC USD. It makes the current price $1199.00 AR and $1399.00 AR respectively.

Savvy deal-finders (you’re reading this site, that means you!) will wait to see if Cameraland via eBay — they’re a Tamron authorized dealer — offers these lenses for $999 AR and $1199 AR respectively, as they did during the last rebate. Catch is, they only sell a few at this price, if at all. To get e-mailed when they are available, sign-up for a notification by clicking the “Notify” button on the lens pages (24-70 VC, 70-200 VC).

We’ve been asked: there are a few Amazon third-party sellers (notably “Photo4Less”) currently selling the lens for $999, are these eligible for the mail-in rebate rebate? The answer is no, Photo4Less is not an authorized Tamron dealer. However $999 is a pretty good deal if you don’t want to wait for a Cameraland sale and are willing to deal with Photo4Less for warranty. They have two left in-stock at this price.
