The Canon 20%-off refurbished sale ended with no restock of highly-desired lenses — those lenses already sell out quickly at full refurbished price, so we’re not surprised that Canon did not restock them during the sale.

This eBay Daily Deal is back. BigValueInc via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III with EF 24-105mm f/4L IS Kit for only $2949.99. This is within $50 of the lowest price we’ve ever seen on a brand new (import) 5D Mark III + 24-105mm. It’s also $350 less than our authorized dealer street price.

If you split the kit and sell the 24-105mm for $600, it is like getting a 5D Mark III for only $2349 — an incredible price.

The Canon Direct Store released yet another coupon: “TURNBACK2014”, which gives $50 off $500, $25 off $250, effectively up to 10% off. It’s stackable with “PUMPKIN2014” which is 20% off.

This is resulting in some better deals (see above). See our refurbished stock tracker to see the full list of what’s in-stock. It is best if you can put together a bunch of refurbished items that (after 20% discount) come to just over $250 or $500, then it is 28% off.

UPDATE: Deal is now dead. This got quickly picked up by major deal sites and Canon was flooded with orders. Looks like Canon has disabled the two “other” coupon codes. I wouldn’t be surprised if cancellations are coming next.

Canon 20%-Off Refurbished Sale Restocked, Did You Miss it?

The Canon Direct Store restocked about 30 minutes ago. There was one or two each of the super-desirable items in-stock, including the 24-70 II, 100L Macro, 85L, and others. They are featuring 20%-off refurbished lenses and select bodies with coupon code “PUMPKIN2014”. The sale ends October 31st.

It looks like most items sold out within 10 minutes or less. The best way to get notified about restocks is by setting a notification on our refurbished stock tracker. You can see what’s in stock via that handy single page, and set notifications using the ‘Notify’ button (on the far right) on out-of-stock items.
