8mm f/3.5 Fisheye for Canon Wide Angle Lens

Today’s B&H Photo Video DealZone (one-day deal) is the Bower 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye for Canon for $159.95. This is the lowest price we’ve seen yet for this manual-focus lens. (This lens may be more commonly known as the Rokinon or Samyang 8mm — Bower is yet another one of their brand names.)

Please note this is NOT the “HD” version of the lens. Thus, the lens hood is not detachable, and you will get an obstructed field of view on a full-frame camera. We recommend this lens only for crop-bodies (although it’s possible to modify your lens to work with a full-frame camera.) Check out this flickr group for sample photos with this lens. This is a reasonable deal — not as great as the short-lived triple-stack madness, but considering the body retails for $1349 authorized dealer street price, $1249 AR with printer bundle, or $1099 (expired) grey market, this is still an attractive price for the body only and an excellent price with the 18-135 STM kit lens.
