Authorized Canon USA dealer Unique Photo via Amazon has two copies of the RF 50mm f/1.2L USM available for $1999. They’re noted to be used, in “Like New” condition. This deal is available through their Amazon storefront. This is a great deal compared to the regular $2299 price for these lenses, brand new.

We’re not sure what the story is behind these specific lenses, but commonly, dealers will sell items as “Used – Like New” when they are open box or damaged box. Canon’s minimum advertised pricing rules don’t apply to used or open box items.

Our friends at Peak Design just launched their 10th Kickstarter campaign: Mobile by Peak Design is a complete ecosystem for your phone, including mounts, cases, accessories, and chargers. They’re made for any phone, and also compatible with Apple’s new MagSafe system.

You start with an Everyday Case, a slick-looking case compatible with several modern phones, or a Universal Adapter, which adheres to the back of your case. Your phone can then attach to a full ecosystem of accessories, including a mobile tripod, kickstand, wireless charging stand, and mounts for car, wall, or bike!

Overall it’s a very slick and functional design, as you would expect from Peak Design. Pledges start at $16 for the universal adapter and $32 for the Everyday Case, then you can add on the mounts and accessories à la cart or pledge $332 for “the whole shebang”. Check it out!

This is the “Cobalt” version of their CFexpress 2.0 cards. The 325 GB version is noted as “Supported” for EOS R5 8K RAW capture, and is one of the best cards on Tig’s CFexpress card review.

B&H, Amazon, Adorama, and the Canon Store are all showing a ship-date on the RF 85mm F2 Macro IS STM of Thursday, October 22nd, even for new orders placed now.

This is good news for this particular new-release lens. Canon has been plagued by supply issues recently. The new EOS R5 and R6 bodies as well as mount adapters are the most visible shortfall, but most RF and EF lenses have also been backordered and on tight allocation for months.

This points to broader supply issues that can’t be explained just by the unprecedented demand for the new releases. We’re curious to see how this will impact the upcoming holiday deal season.
