Another useful new product seen on Kickstarter: the Ultimate Lens Hood (ULH) 2.0 solves the age-old problem of unwanted glare or reflection when shooting through glass, with a soft silicone lens hood.

The wide end of the hood makes a nice seal with the glass, eliminating reflections caused by stray light. The narrow end of the hood stretches to fit many lenses — with a 50mm opening, it’s perfect for kit lenses (like the 18-55 or 75-300) all the way up to 82mm filter thread ‘pro lenses’.

An impressive product, but its best feature is the price: pledge only £17 (about $22 USD) to receive the “ULHgo” (fitting DSLRs and mirrorless cameras). Pledge £27 (about $34 USD) to receive both the DSLR and smartphone version of the lens hood — expected to ship in October. Less than 100 spots are left!

It’s already a super-successful campaign with over $160K pledged by 5000+ backers.

There’s only two days left for the Lumin8 LED Light on Kickstarter — it’s a waterproof LED wand light with very impressive durability, they have examples in their Kickstarter campaign shows of their lights getting run over by cars, smashed with hammers, and thrown into buckets of water.

A limited number of super-early bird rewards are available when you pledge $129 towards this campaign. You can also get two wand lights for a $249 pledge. So far, nearly 600 backers have pledged nearly $100,000 towards a November 2019 delivery date!
