Several readers remind us that Adorama has also extended their return policy (for the Holiday shopping season). All items purchased between Oct. 15, 2021 and Dec. 25, 2021 will have an extended time period for returns and exchanges, where returns are accepted until February 1, 2022.

As previously mentioned, this should give you the confidence to purchase now (while stock is available) but not miss out on any upcoming deals — although we think they will be unlikely this year.

B&H’s most generous holiday return policy is now active: their usual 30-day limit on returns and exchanges is extended, and you have until February 1, 2022 to return or exchange items purchased after October 18, 2021 through January 2, 2022. They note that all their other standard return policy conditions apply.

For us Canon deal hunters, this is great insurance — if you buy now, and if Canon were to later launch a big sale, the extended return policy should let you qualify for an easy price adjustment, covering the whole pre-Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and last-minute deal season. For the most flexibility, leave the item unopened — so if it’s another dealer that has the sale (and B&H isn’t matching, for some reason), you can do an actual return if needed.

Given all the supply concerns, our recommendation would be to buy or pre-order now (while there is still stock), and in the unlikely event there’s a sale, you can still partake in the deal!
