The first two digits of the tripod model number indicates the “series”:

- LO – Mr.O series – adjustable (and reversible) center columns
The next two digits in the tripod model code indicate the (thickest) diameter of the leg, and the third digit indicates the number of sections. Thus, an LM-404C tripod is a 40mm diameter 4-section Summit-series tripod. A trailing “C” indicates carbon fiber.
