I own several of these, including the version with the USB-C port and power indicator. It’s important to note that they all share the same hard-coded serial number. While they are compatible with the R5 II, attempting to register multiple batteries in-camera will cause conflicts due to these identical IDs.
Additionally, while a single battery charges perfectly within the R5 II body, they struggle when used in the BG-R20 grip. In a dual-battery setup, the right-side battery often fails to signal completion – remaining stuck at 100% and continuing to draw 0.4W indefinitely. In my testing, it stayed in this state for over 8 hours without ever switching over to charge the left-side battery.
