This year’s Amazon “Prime Day” will start on Tuesday, July 8th. The deals start at 3 AM ET and run 96 hours until 3 AM ET on Saturday — that’s twice as long as last year! Amazon’s Prime Day deals are restricted to Amazon Prime members only. Just like the previous ten years, CanonPriceWatch will be watching the deals.
You can browse our 2024 live-update post or our archive of Prime Day related deals for examples of the types of deals available. We should see great prices on memory cards, filters, bags, storage, 3rd party lenses, tripods, lighting, and other accessories. Deals sell out quickly, so be prepared to jump on them!
As many deals are restricted to Amazon Prime members only, be sure to sign-up for a free 30-day trial of Prime if you’re not already a member. Check back on Tuesday at 3 AM for the deals!
For those who are not Prime members or still are but are tired of dealing with Amazon, other places will match some of the longer-lasting deals, like B&H and Adorama. This has been true for memory cards, hard drives, and similar over the years, and even Sigma and Rokinon/Samyang lenses if memory serves.
This right here. There’s no reason to do business with scAmazon — a company that happily allows counterfeits via a process called “commingled inventory”. Especially when so many competitors will price match AND they sell genuine products.
I’ve gotten counterfeit memory cards, textbooks, and even toothbrushes. Amazon no longer gets any money from me for “prime membership” — and I am very hesitant buying from them unless there’s no reasonable alternative.
And “doing without” is always a reasonable alternative.
