Do they charge sales tax to Florida?

Do these ship from Drop directly or does Drop just forward to an authorized retailer who ships it?

This seems like this is a fantastic deal but the details on the warranty are murky at best. The site claims a one year manufacturer warranty but if Drop (Massdrop) isn’t an authorized dealer I believe they won’t honor it. Anybody dug into the details?

I’ve heard (but cannot confirm for this specific case) that Drop will provide a receipt from an authorized dealer if warranty service is required.

Sigma doesn’t list drop/massdrop as their authorized dealer. So I don’t think you will get the full 4 yrs warranty

Massdrop is a “go-between” and they likely are selling on behalf of an authorized dealer. Unlike our street price process though, theirs is a bit more opaque.

OK. They’ve reached the minimum number of people for this deal, so it seems these lenses will be shipping. I bought one. Will be reporting back here whether this is indeed a Sigma USA item.

As an FYI, I asked customer service to confirm that this lens comes from an authorized Sigma dealer (and who said dealer is), otherwise I don’t want it. They cancelled my order.

This, of course, doesn’t necessarily mean this lens is gray mkt. They may just not want to say who the dealer is to protect them. Understandable.
