Hot, Price Mistake! EOS R Mount Adapter with Circular Polarizer, $99

UPDATE: Looks like the price at B&H has been changed back to $299. Amazon is no longer showing the item available for preorder.

The EOS R system will be available for pre-order at midnight tonight, but it looks like there are some price mistakes you can take advantage of right now.

The Canon Drop-In Filter Mount Adapter EF-EOS R (Circular Polarizer) is available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video for only $99.00 — save $200 from the regular price of $299.

It’s also available for pre-order immediately (no need to wait until midnight). As this is likely a price mistake the orders may get cancelled, but hey, it’s always worth a shot!

oh. B&H match up Mount Adapter EF-EOS R (SKU: 2971C002) and Mount Adapter EF-EOS R with Drop-in Circular Polarizing Filter A (SKU: 3442C002). should I order then resale it?

Ordered and confirmed. Let’s see if it ships. I hope so.

I didn’t realize there were two filter mounts, but in your other post, you list the CP mount as $399, not $299 (for the NP version.) So that’s a $300 savings.

      Good catch. Updated.

I thought the CPL was the $299 one and the variable ND is $399, I think the post is wrong.

Lee is correct. I checked & CPL is $299 at Canon, Best Buy & Adorama. ND is $399.

Either way, great deal and I ordered one – thanks for the post!

Thanks for posting! I preordered it but have a feeling B&H will end up cancelling it due to it being a pricing error. Looks like they mistakenly swapped the prices for the standard mount and the CP version.

It looks to me like the only one that is the correct price is the control ring adaptor. Heads up to those that wanted to order the standard adaptor, it is not 399, it’s 99, but it is listed as 399. So, unless you trust them to correct the price later I would either wait for them to fix the price or get the control ring adaptor for 199. I think that is the one I would want anyway. Also, the ring clicks as you rotate it, but can be sent in to be declicked.

Also, like Lee has pointed out, the ND filter is 399 normally and they have it for 299. Another savings if they will honor it. This would be great for people that are going to be shooting video with EF and EF-S lenses (in case y’all didn’t know, these will also accept EF-S lenses!). 399 seems a bit pricey, even 299 does. I wouldn’t expect the price to drop anytime soon.

how comes it shows $299 when I check out?

Looks like they just fixed it. Expect Amazon to fix their’s too as they were probably matching B&H’s price.

Looks like Amazon has caught up also – it’s shown as currently unavailable. Probably their algorithm picked up on B&H’s price correction.

I snuck in 2 at the right price… 🙂 I’ll see if they cancel or not

Recently they changed my order quantity to 1 from 2, did this happen to you?

Very likely a cancellation, too bad they aren’t in stock or ready to ship in the next few days 🙁

      Orderable again…

I believe the $99 price likely reflects JUST the polarized filter and that is the simple error. The listing is supposed to read without the “with.” I don’t mind testing the theory though 🙂

I ordered 2. If they come through, I’ll probably sell both to start my Canon R savings fund.

Update: both of mine shipped today. I made two separate orders of 1 each and I got two shipping notices. Looks they are honoring this price mistake!

Availability is in February 2019, didn’t realize it was so far away.

5 and a 1/2 months my $200 will be tied down to this deal. I feel like i’m better off putting that $200 into crypto and see which does better.

B&H just charged my credit card for $99 and the order now shows in stock and sent to the warehouse.

I ordered 2 from B&H but they have charged only 99 so seems like they shipped only 1.
