Today’s B&H DealZone (one-day deal) features discounts on Spyder5 color calibration systems from Datacolor, as well as the high-end Lowepro Echelon Roller.
- Datacolor Spyder5PRO for $139.00 at B&H (reg. $189)
- Datacolor Spyder5ELITE for $179.00 at B&H (reg. $279)
- Lowepro Echelon Roller (Black) for $399.95 at B&H (reg. $800)
Which one is better pro or elite?
Datacolor claims that the elite has the “most precise and complete calibration.” I don’t know about all that, especially since I think the tool is the same, it’s just the software that varies. I think if you do video as well as photos, the elite is a better choice, as it offers more options for that. If you jsut do stills, the pro is fine. I use the pro, and I like it. If you go to the datacolor website, it list specifically what each one offers for options.
Just got this and the deal already expired.
