Unauthorized dealer deals-all-year via eBay has a number of great deals on brand new grey market bodies, for Labor Day. Tax is collected only for New Jersey. Please note they are not an authorized dealer and a Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed. They are, however, a reputable grey market dealer with strong positive feedback (99.8%) and good reviews from our readers in the last couple of years. The seller provides the warranty for these items. If you would prefer deals from authorized dealers, please consider our street price program (which is only slightly more, in some cases.)

Really bad customer service be aware they will try you to up sell you care plans etc, return policy is bull shit
Our readers who have purchased from them in the last few months have reported no upsell calls. Yes, their return policy has a restock fee (if not defective) so please be sure you want this before buying.
Well I had a really bad experience with them, even thou I call them several times for help
Can you please tell us more about what happened?
I bought the 5dsr about two weeks ago from them upon recommendation by Gordon…..no upsell of anything. Went on Ebay…made my purchase and two days later the UPS delivered the camera body. It was in perfect condition…brand new. The box was sealed even though Canon does not seal their box. The battery charger is a little different and the printing/label on the battery is different-I discarded both of this.
I bought a canon 7d mark II, ask them to ship it sooner and to charge me for, they said they can not do it, tried cancelling the order the same day I order and the next and the next they have this bull shit excuse that they can’t, went thru PayPal to stop the shipping cause I did not wanted cause I needed it for an specific shoot, they sent it anyways even thou I ask them many time not to do it because I did not want it anymore because it won’t arrive soon enough, it took almost a week and a half to get it and I wanted to return but they did not want to refund me in full, however I agreed to pay the re sticking fee but still PayPal won’t let me print return label, they told me just sent us the camera and we will refund you, PayPal told me not to cause I might end up without camera or money, when I fist call them to speed up the shipping they wanted me to sell me a care plan for $199 if I agree to that plan they will send it ups 2 day shipping.
I had a really bad experience with them no help whatsoever and end up loosing money.
I wish I had recorded the phone calls so you guys can hear for your selves.
I will never buy from them ever again and I will never recommend anyone to buy from them.
Fabian Rodriguez your fault for purchasing before securing faster shipping.
Sam Barker there was no option
I just sharing my experience with them that’s all, if you had a good experience then it’s ok it worked for you but for me it was a nightmare
B&H gets it there in a few days. You get what you pay for, I would rather have a warranty.
Years ago grey market was not allowed. What happened?
It was never not allowed.
It’s just that years ago, there were a lot of crooked retailers (mostly from the Brooklyn, NY area) that sold import items as if they were US warrantied items.
People have gotten wiser and the market has cleaned up quite a bit, and most folks now know what they’re getting.
I recently bought a 5D4 body, import model, switched the menu to US/NTSC, and all is well.
Saved about $600.
Exactly as Rob wrote. There are sleazy companies out there that are giving grey market a bad name, but if you’re willing to jump extra hurdles you can save some money. If not, then go with our authorized dealer street price.

Lot of peeps going for that 7DII. Can’t blame them, wouldn’t mind me some 10 fps burst with dual card slots. Making due with the 80D for now, with lenses being my main focus.
If you are in no rush….5DsR replacement rumors have started and are becoming a bit more serious. I am waiting for the next decent price drop on a Street Price on that one and then will go for one from an authorized retailer.
The only challenge with grey market (imported) items is that Canon USA can’t absolutely refuse to service your equipment. In that case, you have to go through the trouble of sending it back to Japan or the origin of the authorized country for repair and or aftermarket repair. It’s not worth it just for saving a few hundred dollars, especially buying big items that costs over $2000…
The way I look at things if I can get grey market camera that’s new for the price of a used ex authorized item it makes sense to me, even if the warranty is not promised. I personally own Mark 3 that I bought as grey market and saved at least$600 that was like 4 years ago still going strong with no problems knock on wood. I mean if were talking $100 then obviously it’s no brainer to go with the authorized dealer.
