Hot, Price Mistake? 5D Mark III + Sigma 150-600mm for $2499 BuyDig

BuyDig has an extremely hot bundle of the EOS 5D Mark III, Sigma Contemporary 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM, Lexar 64GB 1000x UHS-II/U3 SDXC, and $100 BuyDig gift card for only $2499.00. Click here to check out the deal at BuyDig.

We wonder if this is a price mistake. Last time they had a similar bundle, it ended up being a price mistake with all orders cancelled. It’s worth a shot ordering, though, as this is about a $500 savings versus our street price and over $1000 savings versus the regular price of $3524.

Google it you will find better. I don’t know a lot of photographers that use a 150-600mm lens

    1. March 12, 2017 at 12:34 am EDT

      Lol tons of ppl do

    2. March 12, 2017 at 12:37 am EDT

Enthusiast Wildlife photographers use it, professionals do it.

    4. March 12, 2017 at 1:21 am EDT

      Ok….

I don’t but I know plenty of people who shoot the sigma or tamron 150-600s

    5. March 12, 2017 at 1:25 am EDT

They’re relatively new lenses, and very popular for certain groups.

    6. March 12, 2017 at 12:27 am EDT

Deal is over and gone. Now lets see if they honor it.

    7. March 12, 2017 at 9:25 am EDT

I have the sigma and love it for wildlife.

Of course it’s good enough for professional use. Why wouldn’t it be?

I would agree with Robert. Once you get in the 500-600 range everyone I know that has one says they get a little bit soft. At f6.3 they require a little bit more light.

      I have a canon 500 f4 mkii
      Canon 100-400 mkii and mki

The 500 is the sharpest but the 100-400mkii gives it a run for its money.

The 100-400mkii is significantly sharper than the 100-400 mki

Teleconverters are pretty annoying, and most folks who’d love to take very good photos of wildlife and BIF aren’t retirees who can make use of glass that can run upwards of 5-figures.

For any photog who maybe gets out once or twice a month will get much more value out of a 150-600mm lens that gives flexibility in focal length vs. those fortunate ones who are living the Yellowstone life and get to sit with the 500mm and 600mm primes on those RRS tripods! 🙂

Order placed. Notice that unlike the last deal with Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2, this one comes with the cheaper Sigma 150-600mm C lens. Let’s hope they honor it…

I purchased the camera deal before midnight (Mar 11). And now is Mar 12… will they still honor the rebate if I buy the printer now?

    3. March 12, 2017 at 11:06 am EDT

There’s little reason to not consider import Canon equipment since Canon USA still honors the warranty for the first year. 😉

I received the same cancellation letter…. Is it strange that the same thing happened exactly one month ago, on 2/11, but with a different lens?? Are they purposely doing it? Seems more than coincidental I guess.

    @ Scotty B

Given that my 2.5K are out of my bank acct at this point, maybe it boosts their cash flow for a few days (until the reverse the transactions). Or they are just totally disorganized….

I scored the new G2 150-600 Tamron back in December, from buydig, for $300 off, or 1099, thanks to a notifocation here! Great lens, haven’t given it much use yet….

  18. March 12, 2017 at 3:20 pm EDT
