Of course I don’t need those extras (I’m sure thats the case for most people), so based on past trends, would this be *the* deal for the next couple of weeks or an indication that the body itself may drop lower. This is a great deal and I’m having a hard time not just purchasing it right now but geeezuz wut if they release a new crazy awesome one for around 2700-3200 soon. I’d be so mad at myself for not waiting. So hard to decide!!
There’s always going to be a new piece of equipment on the horizon. The 5DIII, as you know, is a great camera. If it meets your need, then go from there. The device will not diminish in capability when a new device is released – the only thing that diminishes is your perception of value. This is perceptual. If in any doubt, think of all the great pics that are still being made by users of 5D Mark I’s, 60D’s, and even T3i’s. Best wishes to you and all.

yeah we hope its right around the corner -__- I doubt the 5D4 will be released before the next reiteration of the 1D though, which is apparently in april.
If not then buy a Sony body keep all your canon gear and use a metabones adapter to mount canon l lenses to Sony a7rii.
Then you get best of both worlds.
But not good enough for sports and fast moving action for me, the Sony needs to get better autofocus and better ergonomics
I’ve even heard that the Sony can slow down workflow on a portraiture shoot, and I just cannot have that as a professional.

Yesterday the deal for $2149 after the rebates said it was valid until 11/28. Now the deal says expired one day later and the new price is $2399 after the rebate? Any idea if the $2149 price will be back?
