In a stunning price drop, Get It Digital via eBay now has the Canon EOS 5Ds for $2699.99. This is the lowest price we’ve seen yet for this recently available 50MP camera. Compare with a list price of $3699 and our street price of $3099.

Please note Get It Digital via eBay is not an authorized dealer, so a Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed (although, historically, Canon USA has honored it.) Also be aware that the store may call you to upsell, please decline all upgrades and insist they process your order at the $2699 price.. Other than this, Get It Digital via eBay has been a very reliable dealer.

I really love this camera for many reasons. One is the sound fo the shutter release – it’s sexy. And having 50mp is awesome. But, we are spoiled with our 6D lowlight capabilities. In normal, everyday wedding-type situations, this camera struggles to produce usable images above 1600 🙁 I think I am going to buy another 6D, then sell one to buy the 5DM4 when it comes out next year! 🙂

      Why Sony ?

They are for more innovative that canon. They are the future!

Sony is Proprietary /Canon and Nikon are always looking to advance all Sony will do is add another player and force everyone else to be more innovative Sony is not the future only now are lens makers creating other lenses to use

I haven’t seen anything that shows canon and Nikon are advancing or are trying to advance. A camera with 50 megapixels is cool, but that’s the only thing that they have come up with in years. Sony is constantly changing and improving.

Hahaha….Sony makes toy gadgets, not real cameras. Read the numerous reviews online: while some are positive, there are many out there noting the many flaws in the Sony wunder-camera. No way would I trust Sony for any serious photographic needs.

    No drop on the 5dsr….

Because if you want a 5DS model, you probably don’t want an AA filter because they’re almost useless for pure stills photography.

    2. August 26, 2015 at 10:38 am EDT

Those are probably selling considerably better than this model.

  4. August 26, 2015 at 10:36 am EDT

Sounds like these are selling really well! Haha Everyone was scratching their head as to why they even bothered with a model including an AA filter after Nikon did the same thing and found out nobody wants one. The d810, d610, d750, A7, A7II, A7R, A7RII, and A7S all have ZERO AA filter.

I guess some people out there want it for some pattern work, but that number is small for an already small market this camera has.

Yeah, I really don’t know why Canon didn’t release only the 5dsr after being able to observe what happened with the Nikon experiment with the D800/e models.

Maybe in a few years they will follow Nikon’s example and release the successor, a 5dsr type model with no AA filter at all, and drop the 5ds with AA filter line?
