Full Frame Deals Wrap-Up — Black Friday / Cyber Week 2014

Unless you have been hiding under a rock, you will have noticed: this year was the best year ever for deals on full-frame Canon bodies, namely the EOS 5D Mark III and the EOS 6D.

This post serves as one final summary to organize all the deals over the last few days, and also for future reference — I expect we’ll be referring back to this table when we talk about “those deals during Thanksgiving 2014”.

Some of these deals are still active — we’ll give a green background so you know. We don’t know how long they’ll last, but we can’t imagine they’ll be around for much longer. Other deals are long expired.

If you were waiting for lenses: we didn’t see any deals on L lenses. Other than our street prices, that is.

P.S. We were 3 for 4 on the eBay price predictions. The only one we missed was the 5D Mark III + 24-105L which came in a whopping $150 under prediction.

Many body deals last weekend but no lens deals, let’s make one!

We’re pleased to announce a Cyber Monday street price special on the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM of $999.99 after the $100 mail-in rebate. This is $50 lower than our regular street price for this lens, and this price is only valid for the next 12 hours.

This ultra-wide angle zoom has been touted to be extraordinarily sharp in the corners, and is a great pair to a brand new full-frame body, if you picked one up recently.

Many other sites are posting a “deal” of the 70-200mm II for $1899 from an unauthorized eBay dealer. We have the same price of $1899 from a reputable authorized dealer after the Canon rebate!

6th Ave via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III with EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM (import) for $2699.99. This is the new lowest-ever price for the 5D Mark III + 24-105L kit. The previous low was $2899 from the same dealer, on eBay.

This is a really hot deal because the lens (brand new, white-box) typically goes for about $600 — netting you a brand new 5D Mark III for only $2099.

This is for an import model, where the store provides a 1-year store warranty — read our FAQ about imports models for answers to the usual questions about imports, warranty, and unauthorized dealers.

Another argument for how hot this deal is: it’s $500 less than our already low street price and a full $1000 less Canon’s MAP of $3699 AR for this camera + lens combo.

This is a “WG” import model, with built-in WiFi and GPS. The store provides a 1-year store warranty — read our FAQ about imports models for answers to the usual questions about imports, warranty, unauthorized dealers.

Instead of this deal, you should consider paying $50 more (after rebate) and get the fantastic 6D + 24-105mm + PIXMA PRO-10 bundle from either B&H Photo Video or Adorama. The one downside is the $650 mail-in rebate is sizeable; if you don’t want a mail-in rebate and are willing to go with an import model, then this eBay deal is for you.

Note this is the pigment-based PIXMA PRO-10, not the usual dye-based PIXMA PRO-100 printer normally included in these deals. The PIXMA PRO-10 regularly goes for $699.00.

These are the lowest prices we’ve ever seen on the EOS 6D from an authorized dealer, but it does require a mail-in combo rebate. The Canon rebates are very reliable.

It says it ships in 3-7 business days, so they do not have stock on hand, but at least you can order this again. It has been out of stock since Friday afternoon. This is a super hot deal and will likely sell out (again). Free expedited shipping.
