The Canon Direct Store started a sale tonight on refurbished lenses, speedlites, and EOS bodies: $125 off a purchase of $500, $50 off a purchase of $250. On a $500 item, that is up to 25% off. Add to cart to see the discount.

This sale is best on items that are just over $500 or $250. The only good deal worth writing about is the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM for $394.99, which is a necessary discount considering the newly announced EF-S 10-18mm at $299.

Get It Digital via eBay has the Canon EOS-1D X for $5499.99. They’re not an authorized dealer, but they are the most reliable/reputable unauthorized dealer. This is within 1% of the lowest unauthorized dealer price for the Canon EOS-1D X that we’ve ever seen.

Authorized dealers are showing a MAP price of $6799 for this body, but we estimate the street price to be about $6199, brand new from an authorized dealer, as mentioned in the street price box on the Canon EOS-1D X price comparison page.

Just announced: two widely anticipated Canon ultra-wide-angle zoom lenses.

The MTF plots of the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS ($1199) look fantastic, and we can see how this lens is an upgrade vs. the 17-40L ($739) and the 16-35L II ($1499), for those wide-angle photographers not needing the f/2.8 (read: landscape photographers).

And we’re more than impressed at the low pricing ($299) of the 10-18mm. It offers a more than affordable way for to explore ultra-wide-angle photography on a crop body, nearly half the price of the other Canon options and still cheaper than third party UWA zooms.

Both lenses are now available for pre-order. Availability is June 30th.
