This is really hot: the Canon refurbished store just started a 15% off sale, which runs until Black Friday 11:59 PM. It is 15% off lenses and speedlites, and stacks with the tiered discount of $100 off a purchase of $1000 and $50 off a purchase of $500. You see the full discount in-cart.
Check out our refurbished stock tracker to see everything in-stock, and to set notifications. Most things are out of stock (as they sold out already with only one discount), but what’s left is at an insanely great price.

I got one of the two 35mm f/1.4 for $905, thanks to canonpricewatch. The other one was gone in minutes. Thank you Gordon!
Nice!
I got the other 🙂
Does that make the Canon 6D less than $1267?
No, it appears to be lenses/speedlites only, and it doesn’t apply to things that are already discounted with a % discount. It only stacks with the tiered discount. Confusing enough for you?
Will canon honor a price match for a order that I placed earlier today ?
Generally not, if it’s out of stock. You can call and try, but the answer has typically been no.
On another post, readers are commenting that Canon will now do a price adjustment — so if you ordered before the deal started, call and ask for an adjustment.
Finally got me a 70-200mm F4 non IS. Was trying to get this lens refurb with a good sale for months.
I think this is the first refurb sale Canon’s had without me finding out about it early, through my network of spies 🙂
Do you recommend the 6D for 1267 with 2.5% cashback or for 1299 new through ebay?
It’s up to you, and whatever you feel comfortable with. It also depends on your tax rate.
BTW, I won’t ask you to *not* use a cashback site, but one thing you should be aware of: when you buy from our links directly you are helping to support our site and the work we do for you (the store gives us a small percentage of the sale), but we don’t get anything if you see a deal on here, and then go use a cashback site.
what? I just grabbed the 70-200 f2.8 IS II in the morning :(. Is there any possibility about restocking that lens before tomorrow midnight?
Maybe. Who knows. Canon generally restocks only once or twice during a week-long sale, I don’t know if they held back inventory for Wednesday-Friday.
I’m suspecting Canon wouldn’t hold back inventory. They would release all the inventory early, and let people buy it at a lower discount first, and then only when things were left over, turn on the 15% discount.
is there anyway to cancel order on Canon website or I need to call in? Thanks!
also, do you think the price in the morning of 70-200 2.8 L IS II is good thought? $1895 after tax? will it worth the risk for cancel the order and reorder or just accept it? Thanks a lot for providing us this great website!
For $1895 after tax, you can get that price brand new via our street price program ($1899 AR, no tax to most states), which is probably why the 70-200 II hung around for 25 minutes before being sold out earlier today. Likely bought by people who didn’t know about street price. 🙂
I think the chance of you re-ordering this at 15% off and stacked $100 off is zero, there will be 2000 people waiting to order this for $1463.32.
dont know why I can’t reply to your comment below directly? But I have a reason to buy it using canon store because of the 2.5% cashback from ebates and 5% cashback for online shopping from Discover. If I use your street price, the retailers (BH, Adorama) usually will charge my credit card “in store” (not qualifying for the cashback). That should yield me around 7.5% of $1895.
Man, I feel so cheap huh 🙁
Actually, street prices from one of our retailers is eligible for the 5% Discover online shopping. Perhaps you should ask first before assuming. 🙂
So the remaining difference is just the 2.5% cashback site, which I’ve already stated my opinion on elsewhere in a comment on this post…
sorry about that, i don’t know that. Can you think about providing a “donate button” or similar features, so I can send some money in. Just to help you guys to maintain this website.
Stacking for % off refurb lens does not seem to appy tiered discount. Can you advise here?
It applies the tiered discount in cart.
For example, 70-200mm f/4L IS USM is $1039.20 refurbished (80% of MAP price of $1299).
15% off $1039.20 is $883.32.
$50 off $500 is $833.32, which is the price seen in cart.
The cart combines both discounts and shows a single discount, which is confusing, it just says $205.88 discount, but doesn’t show you that it’s two stacked discounts.
Hope this explains things.
Thanks .. It worked and I order 100mm and 85mm ..
It’s so confusing figuring out what applies and what doesn’t
Yes. The Canon Store has the most opaque discounting system ever.
nice, so is EF 17-40mm f/4L USM + EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM good deal to replace my 24-105 F4L lens.
oops I mean EF 24-70 plus EF 70 -200 F/2.8 to replace 24-105 F4
Just got those combo before it sold out.
Did you get the EF 7–200 F4 IS or F208 non IS version ?
I got the 70-200 f/4 IS.
Thanks! Just bought myself a new lens!
Ahh, any advice on getting one of the 70-200 f2.8L (non IS) for 935(pre tax) or waiting to see if an ebay deal (or refurbished somewhere) for the tamron 70-200 2.8 VC can come in at a similar price?
Got 28mm f1.8 USM for $306 after 15% off + 25 off + $30 ecash coupon.
Thanks, just picked up the 100 macro!
Could you please comment on the quality of these items? Will we have any problems with “refurbished” lenses? I am thinking of buying 70-200 f/2.8 NON IS version because of sub 1k price but not sure if it is worth to go for a newer version to avoid any future problems?
Are these covered by Canon International warranties to get them repaired if any problem comes up? I am having these fears since I have not bought any refurbished lens.
You can expect to find a refurbished lens indistinguishable from new (except for a red dot marking on the mount flange, and the brown or white box it comes packaged in).
It comes with a 1 year Canon USA warranty. Whether or not this is valid for international service, I do not know.
Any idea whether they will restock through the day?
