Rumor sites are ablaze this morning with a leak of photos and specs of upcoming Canon products for Photokina. Leaked today was the new EOS 7D Mark II, with 65 cross-type AF points, a 20.2MP DPAF sensor, and 10 FPS capable — one of the highest performance crop bodies seen (except for maybe the sensor, which looks to be a version of the EOS 70D sensor).
Also leaked are the EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II, EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM, and EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Pancake.
Availability of the EOS 7D Mark II is expected to be late October or early November, which implies a delayed production. To get sent an e-mail notification when this camera or lenses are available for pre-order (to get in early on any waiting list), please use the notification links below to sign-up for a one-time pre-order notification. (Our price pages are blank right now because we have no prices yet!)

As usual we will be on the watch for any pre-order price mistakes, for example the 16-35mm f/4L IS USM for $1074 — which was honored by the Canon Store with all orders shipped.
Seems like we are about to see DPAF FF camera from Canon, as it makes FF lenses with STM.
This isn’t the first FF lens with STM: the 40mm Pancake is an STM lens.
Yes, but this one is very likely to be a kit.
Approximately when do we expect the 7D Mark II to become available in stores? If possible, I want to be ready to move!
The current guess is end of October. We will be arranging a special CPW preorder soon!
When will stores be taking pre-orders? I am on your list to be notified but it would be good to be prepared.
Extrapolating from past announcements, we think it will be announced at midnight on either Monday or Tuesday, with stores commencing pre-orders anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hours after announcement.
