This is how much they usually cost
No, they usually go for $10 or $15 more, and they come down to $99 during holiday season — you can look at the price history graph on our site. http://www.canonpricewatch.com/product/00007/Canon-EF-50mm-f1.8-II-price.html

This has been $99 for like 4 years.
Check out our graphs. Ever since 2011 tsunami the “regular” price has gone to about $110 or $115. During the holidays there’s a rebate generally offered to bring it down to $99. So this is considered a ‘low’ price now for this lens. In fact the price has been mostly higher than $99 in the entire last year (except for a few flash sales in November, December, and January). http://www.canonpricewatch.com/product/00007/Canon-EF-50mm-f1.8-II-price.html
