Proceed to checkout to see the discounted price of $3098. Also, the rebate is $400 (look at the linked rebate form, because it’s camera + printer + paper.

Here’s a screenshot of the checkout price:

Everything is coming through for me except the rebate form for the additional $400. This is actually a good deal without that final rebate but not affordable for me. What browser are you using?

I linked the rebate form in the post, but here it is again:

Ok, I found the link to the rebate forms – The rebate is in the form of an American Express Reward Card. I’m not sure that’s the same as cash.

You can have AMEX send you a check for the amount or transfer it to your bank account. You can read the details here:

I just tried again, with a fresh browser, two minutes ago. It shows up on the last page of checkout (prior to final confirmation). I’ve posted the screenshot into the blog post now.

Are you using an existing BuyDig account, or creating a new one?

Regarding the one printer rebate per household, does it matter if you purchase from different retailers? For example, one PIXMA PRO-100 rebate from B&H and one from Adorama? I’m guessing only one of these will be honored. Thanks!

Hi Brian, you should check the promotion IDs — two rebates with the same promotion ID likely won’t be honored. Perhaps you should find a friend with a different household. 🙂

Just made the purchase and it went through as $3098.00 before the $400 rebate. I’ve purchased two L series lenses and now this Mark iii through recommendations from your site. Assuming the rebates go through, these are solid prices indeed. Thank you for your work, good folks at CanonPriceWatch.

Just bought for $3098 before rebate. Rebates for lenses I recently applied only took 3 weeks. Solid deal, thanks for your diligence!!

I read the comments on a previous post concerning how one could convert an Amex Gift Card to cash via receipt of a check or transfer ( http://www.canonpricewatch.com/blog/2013/11/6-tips-tricks-for-canon-mail-in-rebates/) to ones bank but thought I would check in with Amex on this directly in case policies have changed.

I called twice and spoke with two different Amex representatives. Both had the same answer: Amex Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash in any form – that includes using them to reduce the balance on your Amex account or having them converted to cash via bank transfer.

The BuyDig deal is still attractive in general but not as economically viable as I had originally thought.

      Thanks for checking, Richard.

Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to line up with the experiences of many of the readers here, where in the last few weeks we have successfully converted the AMEX Gift card into check/cash. Note that this is not a standard AMEX Gift card but the AMEX rebate cards that are issued by “Corporate Division”, as this is a corporate rebate program. There may be a difference in the policies between these cards.

Also, on the gift card itself there is fine-print instructing people on how to do the conversion.

What people use as sales receipt or sales invoice to submit with their rebate form?

The rebate instructions mention sales receipt but this is an eBay sale.

    Please, share details.

    Thanks

As this deal is now ‘active’ again, here’s a heads up – Purchased this earlier this week and found out today that my order was on hold because they oversold. Told they hope to get more Mark iii’s by the middle of next week. Got the printer very quickly however. Just saying that if you order this, you may be waiting. Still a good deal, but not if you have an immediate need for the camera.
