Weighing only 3.1 lb, the Series 1 Traveler can hold up to 12.1 lb. The legs fold up 180 around the center column and head, making the tripod's folded length only 16.1" long. It has a minimum working height of 9.5", and when fully extended it reaches 59.8" high. G-lock leg locks add to the stability and rigidity by actually strengthening the tripod as more weight is added to it. When you are shooting low angle or macro photography, the center column can be inverted or removed to get your camera closer to where it needs to be.
