Get It Digital via eBay has the Canon EOS-1D X for $5499.99. This is the lowest price we’ve seen body only for the 1D X new.
Note, Get It Digital via eBay is an unauthorized dealer, but a very reputable one (99.5% positive feedback). Also note that this listing isn’t marked as “US Model” (like their other listings), so it is likely an import version. However the savings are massive: compare with $6299 at authorized dealer Profeel and $6799 at most other authorized dealers.

BigValueInc via eBay is not an authorized dealer. Most readers have reported receiving US model bodies, occasionally an import model body. In their last major sale on Black Friday they sold 300 copies of the 5D Mark III for $2445 in 90 minutes, and readers reported receiving US models. US model bodies sold through unauthorized dealers are still eligible for a full year of Canon USA warranty, based on our survey.
Last call: to be eligible for the Canon mail-in rebate you must complete your purchase by Saturday, January 4th, 2014. We haven’t heard anything about these rebates being extended.
L-Lens prices are at their lowest levels in years, and there are many lenses with double-dips offered, where the store has further discounted below the mandated minimum price. The Canon instant rebates on entry-level and mid-level items are also scheduled to expire on the same day.
