EOS 6D + 24-105 “Refurbished” for $1899 at BuyDig eBay, Free LR5

Authorized Canon dealer BuyDig via eBay has the “refurbished” Canon EOS 6D + 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Kit for $1899.99. You also get a free copy of Lightroom 5!

We say “refurbished” because: they ran a similar sale last week via their other storefront Beach Camera via eBay, and several of our readers reported they received a new item!

They got a color box, with none of the usual signs of a refurbished body and lens (pinprick through the serial number, red dot on the lens mount). Now, who knows if the store will be doing the same in this sale. Expect refurbished (for which this price is already a great deal), but I wouldn’t be surprised if for some buyers it comes out a bit better than that!

Refurbished items come with a full 1-year Canon USA warranty. BuyDig only charges tax to NJ.

Update: Savvy reader Todd notices that the listing mentions the BuyDig # as CNEOS6DKT and the Canon part number as 8035B009, which correspond to the brand new kit in both cases! Canon manufacturer refurbished bodies are normally sold under a different BuyDig # and Canon part number.

(If you bought in the last sale, please comment with your experience and help other readers out!)

Canon Refurbished Lens Sale Restocked; 6D $1291 Half Sold!

The Canon Direct Store sale was restocked about 45 minutes ago! They are offering 15% off refurbished lenses and flashes. The restock included 7 copies of the coveted 85L for $1495, but these seem to have quickly sold out.

You can see what else is in stock on the CanonPriceWatch Refurbished Stock Tracker. If the item you are interested in is still not in stock, or sold out, please sign-up for a specific notification on that item (click the ‘Notify’ buttons on the tracker page). There are quite a few people waiting for our notifications, and things quickly get sold out at every restock.

They are still offering the EOS 6D for $1291.32, after 15% off. This is a great deal — more than half of the available 6Ds have been bought; the sale began with 725 in-stock and is now down to 330 in just over five days.

There has been a trickle of EOS 5D Mark III at $2447.28 but these quickly sell out within a few minutes of every restock.

Hot: Adobe Lightroom 5 for $80 at Amazon

Amazon has the full-edition of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 for Mac and Windows for $80.09. You can also get the download edition for $80.58 (make sure you pick the correct operating system).

This is only $10 more than the Cyber-Monday 2013 blow-out sale of $70 that only lasted for only 3 hours.

Find Better Prices with New CanonPriceWatch “Street Price” Feature

Even with the new mail-in rebates it looks like stores are strictly sticking to MAP prices — which means, no advertised deals to be had. At the time MAP was introduced, we promised to “find ways to share the current Canon price trends”.

Today, we’re proud to launch a beta of the new CanonPriceWatch “Street Price” feature.

Using our connections in the Canon user & dealer community, we’re now able to estimate the price at which you could buy the item brand new from an authorized dealer with Canon USA Warranty. We’ve launched a beta on some of the most popular items:

On “Street Price” enabled items you’ll see a box like the below. If you are seriously considering a purchase, you can click the link in the box to contact us for assistance in obtaining that price.

(The link below is just a demo — go to the EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM II page to use the real thing.)

We estimate a street price of $2000 – $2030 After Rebate on this item from an authorized dealer with full Canon USA Warranty and free shipping.

Fill out this form to get in touch with CPW for assistance in obtaining this price.

We’ll continue to improve and refine our street price as we get feedback from users and dealers alike. Feel free to contact us via the contact form with your experiences.

EOS 70D Body-Only for $999 ($200 Instant Rebate) + Free Stuff

In addition to the new mail-in rebate on 5D Mark III and 34 lenses, Canon also launched instant rebates on 15 lenses and most bodies.

The only instant worth writing about is a $200 rebate on the EOS 70D body, which takes the price down to $999.00.

B&H Photo Video is also giving 2% rewards ($20) and a bunch of free stuff: a shoulder bag, a third-party battery, and a Sandisk 16GB Extreme SD card. With the rewards and free stuff, this deal comes close to the lowest-ever body-only 70D deal we saw in December 2013 ($949).

You can also optionally bundle with a PIXMA PRO-100 printer — it is free after a $400 mail-in rebate, your net price would be $997.
