The hottest 5D Mark III deal ever: ElectronicsValley via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III with EF 24-105mm f/4L IS Kit for only $2899.99. This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen on a brand new (import) kit. The previous low was $3080 during Black Friday 2013. This is today’s eBay Frenzy deal.
A white-box 24-105mm typically goes for $600, so this is like getting a 5D Mark III for only $2299 — an incredible price.
Who is ElectronicsValley via eBay, and are they reputable? Some sleuthing shows they are the same company as BigValueInc, an unauthorized dealer who has been a source of reliable deals over the last few years. They have a 98.9% feedback score on high-value Canon items.
This is an import version (physically identical to the US model, but not intended for the US market). A Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed, so the store provides a warranty instead. An eBay Deal Frenzy began today, it runs until Friday. First up is Get It Digital via eBay: they have the Canon EOS 6D for $1349.99. This is an import model, but it has WiFi and GPS.
Get It Digital via eBay is a reputable unauthorized dealer, they have 99.2% feedback on high-value Canon items including a good track record on the EOS 6D. One small warning though, they are adamant about charging a 5% restock fee on returns (unless defective), so please be sure before purchasing.

Canon just announced several new products, including the new and highly anticipated EOS 7D Mark II, with 65 cross-type AF points, a 20.2MP DPAF sensor, and 10 FPS capable, now available for pre-order at $1799.00.
Estimated ship date is November 17th; with this long lead time, pre-orders will be essential.
Also announced today were the EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II, EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM, EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Pancake, and PowerShot G7 X.

This is an incredible deal as the EOS 70D has a MAP price of $1099; even our street price is $989. Adorama also has a similar bundle with the 18-135mm IS STM for $1199 AR.
Rumor sites are ablaze this morning with a leak of photos and specs of upcoming Canon products for Photokina. Leaked today was the new EOS 7D Mark II, with 65 cross-type AF points, a 20.2MP DPAF sensor, and 10 FPS capable — one of the highest performance crop bodies seen (except for maybe the sensor, which looks to be a version of the EOS 70D sensor).
Also leaked are the EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II, EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM, and EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Pancake.
Availability of the EOS 7D Mark II is expected to be late October or early November, which implies a delayed production.
